I'm not at the point of making of my own. I do want a base thats close to "natural" - if there is a lotion product like that. I have bought one base (off of E-bay) which I do not really like... any help is appreciated.
Thanks, Sandy

That rocks! I can totally see the cloud swirl action - good job!
-
LOL - my bad! I was thinking it was a spot paid for by the city to promote the city. Getting a deal is still good!
-
I couldnt view it - but congrats! I have friends that work in advertising for the local channels here and its verrry expensive - 15 seconds for free is fab! Hope you get alot of business from it!

Beautiful....!!
What's the secret to get them sooo darn shiney? Do you sit there and wash each one?
I use a damp paper towel - mainly to get off the marks my "cutter" makes... lol
Thanks everyone!

Love both scents. Thanks for looking.

They are all stunning! My fav is the Lemongrass.

Yep that sounds right - 1st post asked for 10 grams - that would be .36 ounces. hth Sandy

I get mine from Walmart - 150 feet for about $5. its by the wax paper, saran warap, etc. hth - Sandy

I just received this out of the classifieds - its quite dark orangey - I did a forum search and couldnt find anything about it discoloring - is it a rule of thumb though that if its dark it will discolor? Any help from anyone who has soaped it and knows how it will turn out is appreciated. Thanks, Sandy

Can you spritz with 50% Isopropyl Rubbing Alchohol or does the alcohol content have to be higher?
TIA
God Bless,
Lynn
Edited to add that I just went to Wallyworld and got some 91% Isopropyl Rubbing Alchohol! Im GUESSING that this would be best to use as it has less water in it! Am I correct??
I just did my 1st m&p with imbeds and only had a little bit of 70% rubbing alcohol - so watered it down and applied liberally as everyone else said - mine did not come apart and I used alot of big chunky imbeds. I think its just how much you spray.

I think they are all gorgoeus! How long did you leave them in the fridge? I've tried that on 2 batches and they both came out looking half - gelled. Thanks, Sandy
-
I realized on the 2nd try that the solid oils did need to be solid - regrigerated them till mostly hard and they whipped up it was adding the soft oils I had the problem with - I am going to try it again when the weather cools a little - your soaps are gorgeous!
-
I followed your recipe twice now to the "T" - 1st time did not whip up at all after an hour of whipping the first oils, 2nd time I got the hard oils to whip, but when I added the soft oils it all went back to liquid and could not get it whipped again. I added all the soft oils at once - was I supposed to do it slower? Is there a trick to it? Tia, Sandy

Thanks everyone! The black swirl - I used hardly any coloring - that color scared me lol. The pumpkin I just made yesterday and colored with paprika, but it may turn brown still.

From top left to right: Country Clothesline, Pear Glace type, LLC (which half gelled - I think), and Pumpkin Cheesecake. Thanks for looking!

Thanks for all the tips - I didnt add any liquids at this point, its still shredded pieces. I've never done a rebatch but found directions for the boil in the bag - but thought the crockpot might be easier.
-
If so - how did it go? I shredded a bunch of left over ends and am trying the crockpot to melt them. Its a bunch of colored/scented ends and I'm a little curious how it will look - any tips are appreciated. Thanks, Sandy

Not sure how comparable it is to the Yankee original but I love BCS Country Clothesline and have had many requests for it from men and women. hth - Sandy
Also its skin safe and worked very nice in CP.

Thanks everyone! I made a batch and I LOVE it!
-
Unfortunately not, and I wanted to make this as a gift to give tomorrow - lol - didnt buy what I needed I guess. Whats the difference between the stearic and cetyl alcohol?
-
I want to make an emulsified butter and have everything except the stearic acid - could/should I up the e-wax or oils by that much or just plain omit it? Thanks, Sandy
