  1. Let me know how that one turns out and how well it soaps........I probably won't get mine into oils for a few weeks yet but will be sniffing it OOB...LOL I have never had any luck with TD so I gave up....to me it always looks chalky and gross. Could be I was just using too much! I gave up on it. Have you tried the vanilla stabilizer from BCN yet?
  2. Anyne have any absolute favorites of these 2??? I have been buying from BCN and BCS but am irritated with the fact that I have to order from 2 different places and pay shipping to two different places and not sure I am totally in love with either one. These would be used in a soy blend wax.....even tho I do not do candles anymore I have one account that I do make these chunk candles for and promised them when I quit making candles that I would continue to make these for them for their gift baskets. I really would like to find a place that sells both and both throw very strong in soy waxes??? Am I asking for too much?? LOLOL Just thought I would see what you guys use.
  3. The Acorns & Black Oak I am going to soap ..... and sniff. LOL That one has intrigued me for awhile now so finally ordered it. My brother is absolutely wild about Frankinsence so I bought that one to see what he thought of it. And because everyone seems to love it in this thread. He is not a "bar" soap guy so I will probably put some in cream soap or shower gel if I ever get around to ordering some shower gel from aquatech (I really really need to get that done!) or maybe I should just find the time to venture into liquid soap?? Will throw some in a body spray for him too. It is a good thing I HAVE to continually reorder the Sweet Pea & Rhubarb because I always order a few extras to try out...LOL Oh yea and I ordered another pound of the Madarin, Basil & Lime..........I can't quit sniffing that one!! My sales rep loves that one too so I keep her supplied in everything that scent and she reps for a couple jewelry companies too so she keeps me stocked in bracelets and jewelry...LOL (i'm a bracelet HO!)
  4. I had to order another 4#'s of the Sweet Pea and Rhubarb (wish she sold in 5#'s) so I added the Frank, Myrrh & Gold , Acorns and Black Oak and Tassi Lavender this time....and got the sample of Prelude to Love. It won't be here until next week tho.
  5. If I remember right we even put plastic flowers in them....and no we didn't do a second pour either...LOL We used some kind of wick that she bought in a spool at Ben Franklin and tied it on a coat hanger or something to keep it centered. Yep and sprinkled with glitter too .... and I am pretty sure we used crayons to color the wax. Too funny!!! We were so damn proud of our candle creations!! And the burn?? I am thinking they were pretty bad and you had to make sure you had them on a plate cause the wax would run out the holes.....LOLOL! ETA ...... Thank You for the walk down memory lane!! My mom has been gone for 8 years now and I miss her everyday but it is things like this that really make me smile!! I had forgotten all about our Ice candles!
  6. OMG....this thread caught my eye because my Mom made these waaaaaaaaay back in like the late 60's?? We did it as a 4-H project and she was one of our leaders. We used 1/2 gallon and quart size milk cartons as the molds. Too Funny!!!
  7. You know the more I think about it...the more I think that that just might work. I had them throw a 4oz with the apothocary pump in my last order so I have one sitting here...I am going to set it on the shelf with my ovals and see how it looks tomorrow. This just might be the answer! LOL (but first I have to see how it looks sitting with my ovals) Maybe the 8oz boston would make a better tester? Hmmmmmm......the testers would last longer that way...I am going to have to give this some serious thought....LOL Thanks for making me step out of the box....I have major probs with that...LOL
  8. They have the "treatment pumps" in the 20/410 but not the actual lotion pumps. I was so excited when Elements got these in...but I guess no one else was near as excited as I was so they discontinued them!
  9. I love thier Apothocary Black Pumps!! Unfortunately they are a 24/410 and too big for my Amber Ovals. What I might have to consider is using a different style Amber bottle just for the testers...like the boston rounds in the 4oz? How dorky would that look?? The tester in a amber boston round and the actual product in a amber oval?? Man I hate when things don't match!! LOL OCD at it's finest! LOL
  10. Anyone know where I can get some of these? I use to buy them from Elements Bath & Body and they no longer carry them. We use them on our 4 oz tester bottles and I am running low and need to find a supplier ASAP! TIA!
  11. I have the pussywillow sitting in the cabinet (along with rosemilk) but just haven't had a chance to test it yet. With your review I am going to have to pull that one to the front...LOL I did my Mandarin Basil Lime in a batch of cream soap (i make just for me and give away to a select few) and OMG I just can't quit sniffing that one!!! My sales rep took a tub home with her to as she is in love with that scent (and in love with my cream soap)too!! That one is definately a keeper!! I wish Kelly sold in larger then 1# sizes....I have a few of her's that I buy 3-5# of at a time. Even 2# size would help...LOL
  12. Log molds here too! And Silvermoon is by far the best I have seen!! I use a slab that cuts down into 4-17" logs from silvermoon.
  13. the labels are lovely!! Very simple but very chic! If the lids fit more snuggly against the bottle instad of a space I think it would look more smooth....the bottles are nice and I like them except for the gap..... And yes the line in the cap tends to make them look like a cheaper bottle dressed up? But the label would make the package scream upscale if you could find a bottle (or cap)that was manufactured a little better?
  14. Yep what Scented said....I swear we are still running the pony express out here half the time!! LOL
  15. Yep what Sharon said. Back when I did candles I bought all my pour pots at Walmart. The scents I poured all the time I just labeled the pitcher with that scent and no clean up! And cheap!
  16. I finally got a reply to my emails. She claims she mailed them on the 27th and they were delivered on the 28th but that she had mailed them to the wrong address? She must of mailed them to her neighbor if they supposedly were delivered the next day...LOL Supposedly they are being resent on Monday..... I find it a little hard to believe but hopefully they will be on their way to me now and I will get them this week.
  17. I didn't order scents either....just the colorants I was low on and some new ones I wanted to try. I don't remember my last order taking a long time to process or get here....so I am wondering what is up. Also paid priority shipping on this order.
  18. Anyone else having trouble getting their order from these guys??? I ordered 3 weeks ago and still haven't seen my order, received any kind of notification that I placed the order nor are they answering emails?? The only notification I have received is that I paid them out of my paypal account. I don't remember having trouble getting my last order from them. There site says they are having a huge fragrance sell........so obviously doing something. Suppliers like this really irritate me!
  19. (adding Tassi Lavender to my list) BUT not ordering it until next week as I didn't like this weeks free sample...LOL
  20. I have heard the Tassi Lavender is the ultimate (in lavenders)...but I haven't tried it yet. I did soap the Mandarin Basil Lime and Black Eyed Susans this morning and they both performed beautifully! And they both smell totally awesome! They are gellin away right now.
  21. Good to know! I was going to order it. I am using MMS's sweetgrass right now and guess I will stick with that one as it works. LOL
