  1. What are you going to use to cut these with?? How many bars will that make?

I have noticed that with large block molds the tops of your soaps are really on the side so to do layers or have stuff on top it is really on the side.

Do you understand what I'm trying to say??

I use the FCS log splitter...this mold cuts into 4 logs and then into 68 bars. They look like they were made in a log mold. The bars are 3.25 (wide) x between 2.5-2.75 (tall) x 1" (thick) and cure out to a little over 4oz each.....about 4.3 ozs. I think I understand what you are saying but these bars look like they were cut off individual logs ..... as that is what this block mold cuts down into...3.25" wide logs and then bars. The top of the blocks are the tops of the soap.

  2. I ordered 2 custom block molds...17x13x3 from Woodfields. According to his email yesterday he is hoping they will be done next Friday which is exactly 4 weeks from ordering. He is very good about answering his emails at least once a day. I have 2 Silvermoons in this exact size and can't wait to get these 2. If they are as nice as everyone says I will be ordering 6 more immediatly....not taking the chance of another silicone mold supplier disappearing on me again before I get all the molds I need...LOL

  3. Any ideas on a new name for this fragrance?? I have several stores that want to carry this one during the huge bike rally (Sturgis) that we have here every year but the roses in the name adds to much femininity to the name I think (?)...... so trying to come up with something more masculine and geared to bikers but can come across as unisex also?? I really want it to appeal to the biker crowd but remain for the cowboy crowd also..... Yea I don't want much..LOL TIA for any and ALL help!

  4. I use about 0.1 gram of silk (give or take) per pound of oils.

you can masterbatch your lye solution with the silk, but be sure to mix well before pouring off your batch portions.

Yep what she said.....I masterbatch at 50/50 and add the silk to the 50/50 while HOT. But definately mix well before pouring any off as it does settle on the bottom.

  5. The Tank is my best friend! LOL We do slabs that we cut down into 4 logs (with the for crafts sake log splitter) and then run the logs through the Tank to get the bars. It is super simple and lightening fast!! I split and cut 136 bars in about 15 min or less.

  6. I can't remember how much it is a pound....and you can buy just a pound of it from Terry Labs....and my invoice is downstairs. But I ordered 3#'s a couple weeks ago and with shipping and 3#'s of 200x aloe it came to $198. Shipping was $12 ups ground. I mix just what I need to use and never have any mixed up and leftover that would have to be stored in the refridgerator....as it has no preservative unless you add some of course. It is way cheaper then buying it from a supplier! I did the math on it and buying a gallon of aloe at wally is $8 a gallon, buying the powder from a supplier it figures out to about $8 a gallon to mix it, buying it fr Terry Labs and using a gallon of distilled water to mix it in...it is about $2.50 a gallon to make. (i use 1/2 ounce of 200x to 100oz water)

  7. I agree with White Peach from SW....and also the Peach and Pomegranate from Backwoods. I haven't soap the Peach & Pomegranate yet but the white peach is delish and strong in CP soap!

  8. ditto the aqua....

kymber...from what has been posted,,it sounds like know one has given a good offer..

and her letter states that she doesn't want to leave her customers without her oils, and to stay tuned for future information...

I know Elements Bath & Body has been working with her on purchasing it. Hoping they get it done as I order other stuff from them also.
