  1. I poured this earlier today and it is awesome. I used it for melts. My boyfriend loved it so much, he swiped one already! lol Anyway, he's the one that got me hooked on that FO. We were at a B&BW a couple of weeks ago and he was raving over their WVS and wanted me to go smell it and I loved it! I may have to make a whole bath and body line with this FO just for myself! lol

  2. Actually, my friend called me the other day and said Walmart had some silicone molds that would be good for tarts. I only bought one. It's probably about the size of a cake pan and has 24 heart-shaped cavities. They also had 2 that were different kinds of leaves, one that looked just like tarts, Christmas trees, pumpkins, and I don't remember what the other one was. Anyway, this was a couple of weeks ago, but you could probably get them online. Another place you might check would be Wilton's website. I know they have a few silicone molds. Also check out Scottcrew for molds. You can just google the name.

  3. Carole, I agree with the giving away part! I have given away so many melts to family/friends, mostly as testers. Once certain fragrances were tested, I hit a couple of local businesses and gave them freebies and they are going to burn them in their stores! Giving away is not a total loss. I have actually gained some customers that way!

  4. It's probably the same cutter. My boyfriend's mom had one years ago. Other than that, I don't know. I have googled labels for the 6-cavity clamshells and can find no labels that are the perfect size. I guess I'll just give my friend candles and let her deal with it! Sorry I couldn't help more. If I do find some the right size, I will repost and let ya know.

  5. I have this problem also. I bought blank sheets and plan on buying a cutter. I honestly don't know what's it called, but it will cut sheets into strips, you just place the sheet where you want it cut. If I don't feel like doing it, a friend offered and her pay would be free candles!

  6. Actually, it's kind of funny. I went ahead and emailed her because I had another question. I swear it wasn't 5 minutes later and I had a reply! lol The wax is supposed to ship out on the 9th. Anyway, I sent her another email letting her know how impressed I was to get a reply so quickly, especially in the evening. She sent me one back saying she just happened to be checking email and decided to go ahead and respond. That definitely gets a high mark from me! She could have waited until tomorrow or who knows when to respond. I love when customer service is great! Anyway, I will definitely be waiting to order the wax from them as soon as it gets in.

    Thanks!

  7. I have bunches to try! lol First, I've got an order to fill, then I've got to make votives for my brother and his fiance. The votives are gonna be the wedding favors! After that, I'll move on the flavored coffee FOs! Thanks for all the suggestions!

  8. Well, I do have a couple of weeks so I'm gonna call them tomorrow and see how soon they're gonna have it in stock. I did some research on here and EcoSoya PB seems to work good as well. I just definitely have to have everything ordered by 11/17 so I can pour and test to make sure they're right before I send them up. She has labels she's putting on them and wants to get it done a few weeks before the wedding. Anyway, thanks! I am definitely gonna call KY tomorrow. I've got a couple of questions for them anyway!

  9. My brother and his fiance want votives for wedding favors but they want them out of soy. The mold I found that she wants her candles to look like is a 6-pack plastic votive mold. It makes votives with the ring tops. First off, I know nothing of votive/pillar waxes so I don't know who has the best. I was thinking of ordering from KY but there's is out of stock. Also, will I need a mold release for this mold? Thanks!

  10. I did try adding less FO with the one but I think I just got a bad batch. There is a definite burnt smell there. As far as the other one, it really didn't seem strong like some of my other FOs and it smelled fine after I poured it into the clamshells. It was about 2 days after that it stunk. I may try that coffee bean Carol, but for now, my nose does not even want to smell my morning coffee after those 2 FOs! lol

  11. Thanks for the replies. I don't know that I could ever burn it after smelling the skunk smell! lol I may try the flavored ones though and see how they are. They would have to be much better! lol Thanks a bunch! :)

  12. I think I am done testing coffee FOs. I have one from KY and then I bought a sample from Peaks. The one from KY smelled burnt. It did not turn out well at all. The one from Peaks smelled like skunk! I am not kidding and I have proof! lol I took my brother up some melts. I had taken the coffee ones I made using the Peaks FO. My brother and dad agreed they smelled like skunk. Well, we were at a park, inside, while we were smelling all the different melts. My dad had taken off somewhere with my boyfriend and had the coffee ones with him. They came back laughing their butts off. They said a lady walked by and said, "It smells like skunk in here!". My boyfriend said he about choked when she said it. Apparently my coffee melts really do smell as that was somebody I don't even know and she didn't know my dad was carrying them! Anyways, I'm using PureSoy. Do you think it could be the wax, or should I give up the coffee FOs all together?

  13. Thanks! I'm gonna be making an order from KY here in a couple of weeks. I will definitely try out samples. I've got plenty of time to figure out what lotion base I like. I am leaning more toward the pie kits, as well. There's just so much out there! lol

    Thanks again!

  14. Thanks a lot! I order from so many places, I'll surely find something! lol I will definitely look into it. I know she would love that. I thought about making some lotions/hand soaps for Christmas baskets just for family. I've seen a lot of people rave about the soy whip that KY has and I really want to try it. Thanks again!

  15. I love the Eco Pure. I have been using it making melts (clamshells). It has an awesome scent throw with the right FOs. I also got a tip from someone on here, don't remember who, to pour slushy. That gives the most smooth tops with no frost! Right now I have a pumpkin cheesecake in a warmer in the dining room and black cherry in the living room. These FOs are from BCS, which I absolutely love and just ordered 5 1-lb bottles of other FOs from Thursday! Can't wait for them!
