First, congrats to her! She might want to check out the childrens section of your local library, depending on how big your library is. Gotta love free.
Thank you everyone! lol... she is soooooooooo cute, she goes back and forth between 'I'm gonna be a grandma' with a huge smile to, 'I'm gonna be a grandma' I'm so old... lol...
Thanks again for the info!

My almost wife (lol) just found out she is going to be a grandma! She wants to start knitting but knows nothing about it. ANyone know a good website she can check out to help learn?

I've been reading things here off and on about the soap/salt bars. Was wondering if anyone could tell me what these salt bars are good for? Like, what do they help, dry skin etc?
TIA!

Rob, if you are using them in your lotions, etc. rather than soap, might I suggest adding them to the melt or heat/hold phase of your recipe? It seems that the heat from the lye in soapmaking will melt them so I'm guessing that the same theory will hold true when creating lotions.
I personally use the liquid silk from Brambleberry so I don't have problems with the dissolving issue. HTH
Doh! I didn't know they had liquid silk... time to spend some $$$$ at Brambleberry. I love that company
Thank you!

umm..lol, okay, how do you guys get these little buggers to dissolve fully? I'm having an issue with them... I stir stir stir stir.. maybe I just need to stir more?

Hmmm...I'm trying to think. I use Bramble Berry constantly for B&B stuff... their FO's and EO's are awsome... Geez old age stinks :lipsrseal I know the b&b stuff has never let me down. Can't imagine their candle things being any less quality...but I could be wrong. lol.. so I'm absolutely no help here :lipsrseal Why not try a sample or two? Their shipping is awsome as well...

I wasn't sure where to ask this question, hope this section is okay. Has anyone made any dish soap? Not for the machine, but by hand washing? Was wondering if it were okay to use something along the lines of what you make liquid hand soap out of.
Thank you

If you know what town she is in, also, contact the police in her area. All police depts now have an internet fraud department. One person I knew was taken for about 300 bucks by someone for a car part, no part, no refund... he contacted the persons local police department and they actually went to his house. He had the part by next day mail. Just something to consider.
I hope this resloves in your favor :/ I hate this kind of thing.

a web site called 'Labels by The Sheet' ? If so, are they any good? Are the gloss clear labels, really very clear? :pI'm trying to find a new place to get clear labels..plus I kinda like the idea that you can buy only what you need. Not have to buy a whole box unless you need it.

Go with the white.

Just a quick 2 cents here, please, when you work with tiles and glass... especially the glass, wear eye protection. Flying glass shards can really suck if they hit your eyes. :highfive:
I'd love to see some folks work! Let's post more in the gallery..!!!!

Rob,
Here's the description of BB's Earth Musk. I use it a lot for blending and like it but haven't used any others to compare...so may not be what you're looking for.
Earth Musk (formerly, "White Musk"):Originally named 'White Musk' because it does not discolor, this deep, hearty scent is comprised mainly of Amber and Vetivert. Use it alone for a earthy musk scent or as a base note in your blends.
Bramble Berry? Thank you!!!!!!!! I love their stuff. So far my favorite of their's is Woodland Pear. Thank you again!

no one knows of a good one?

Anyone know a good place for a true white musk?

Thanks all! It was very fun creating. I didn't think I could until I sat down to do it.
Rob, these are regular full sheet clear Avery labels - I used template #5395 in my Label Factory program. I sprayed twice w/ the Krylon triple glaze spray...
Thank you. I really like the way they look. You did an awsome job! :highfive:

What kind of labels are those? I love the texture.
Anyone do mosaics?

I love doing them . You might want to practice on a few smaller pieces first before tackling a table. Just to get the hang of it. Mosaics are alot of fun and you can come up with some really beautiful projects. Post pics as you go along so we can see.
