  1. I bought a mold like that a couple years ago after seeing someone make popsicle soap! Got it at walmart or target or dollar store or something! You see them around!! Remember thinking was really cute!!

Might have to try it!! Only problem is I don't eat popsicles-so don't have any stick! Guess could buy a box!!

  2. So made a batch of soap and i have never had a fast trace before but it was serious pudding consistency right away! I luckily had mold ready and dumped it in there and covered it and buried it under a blanket! It is now setting up! Even though it turned so quick-think all is well? Or might batch need to be dumped? Seems like it usually takes a while!!!

    :)

    TIA

  3. Thanks everyone. It is the market that charges the 50%-and with her making pottery-it is easier to charge more. I have told them numerous times i do not think that it is the place for me-plus i do not feel like my product is quite professional looking yet!

I think have been charging small prices while i get them all sucked in and perfect my product--then gonna triple the prices-not really!! but will eventually go up!!

    Thanks.

  4. So I have been selling a lot of tarts and bath cookies and some soap and aroma ornaments to friends. More people have heard about and tried them. I have not been putting to much into my packaging and have been selling the tarts-made with the silicone baking pans or the heart ice trays-2 for a dollar and the bath cookies 3 for a dollar.

A good friend has a sister who sells her pottery at an artisan market in town and she keeps pushing me to take my stuff their-cuz people will love them. Only problem is that they take 50%--so I would really have to up my prices. Not sure it would sell for more.

I have been using little ziplock plastic bags for the items and putting stickers on the outside with the name, ingredients, my contact info and any warnings.

Suggestions? How could I make the quality of packaging look more professional without spending a lot of time or money?

Would people buy the items at twice the price?

I ordered some of the 6 cavity tart molds from the current co-op and those might sale for a little more--but just the loose tarts?

I hate to pass up a good opportunity!!

    Thanks for any insight!!

  5. Yeah-asked for the co-op=--Michi--right? to list what people had picked so far so i could see what goes!! They were just pm'ing the order to her and I wanted to actually see which ones looked most popular-want to get in on it but dont know what to choose.

I had some orange and some vanilla passion that have been very popular

    :)

is it 8 bottles that can fit in a flat rate box?

  6. Are you guys going to the Arizona Gathering in phoenix in June?

Isn't Surprise on the way to Sedona?

I am headed there in a couple weekends!

How far south are you? I work the Patagonia festival sometimes for Kokopelli wine.

Funny another girl just said she lives in Tucson in another conversation!!

  7. I have been pouring tarts using a combination of pillar and votive wax purchased from wholesale supplies plus a while ago.

Have had a increase in orders and need more wax!!!

i am wondering if anyone has suggestions about whether i purchase more of the same from them-or if there is another option others like better?

    using 4794 and 4625

    TIA--

    would like to order asap!!!

  8. I seem to remember adding a little Vitamin E to this recipe, but just for personal use. Wow, that looks like one of the first B&B recipes I ever played with! You could always add some SLSA if you wanted bubblies. :smiley2:

How much SLSA would you add to that type of recipe?

    Just a little?
