  1. If anyone out there is using this wax, do you think it could be scooped out of a jar/container once FO has been added etc.? For a scoopable tart/melt product used in electric melters. If its so soft and sticky I'm wondering if it could be used in this manner or have another wax added to it to cut down on the stickyness such as a 6006 wax or something. I don't have any 4627 on hand to experiment with so thought I'd ask if someone here is using it and what your opinions are. Thanks!

  2. The BCN cinnamon bun is so strong I don't like it. I can't burn it in candles as it irritates my sinuses too much. In 6006 its blow your doors and windows off strong. If you decide on this one you might want to cut back on usage. I also prefer a cinnamon bun scent that has more dough/yeast/bread smell to it and not just a strong cinnamon scent. If I recall ICS's original CB was more like that.

  3. There was a thread here about certain scents that are so popular now and people have been hearing about these scents alot. The title was something like 'Keep hearing alot about certain scents' or something along that line. It had quite a few pages of comments to it with some good info about these scents and where to get them, but I can't find it. Is it just gone or am I just missing it when looking. I thought I commented in it but its not showing a comment in my profile...it must have went poof...

  4. I have found the same thing with the 6006 melts. The scent doesn't last very long. When I mix in some pure soy they last much much longer! I have melts that will last 24 hours or more. But I have found this with the paraffin too, straight they didn't last more than 4-6 hours max and the scent was pretty much gone, but mix in pure soy and they last a full day some longer. I've bought straight paraffin melts from some of the 'big time' melt ladies and her melts are great and in all kinds of cute shapes but they just don't last very long. I use a 25w melter and I've tested in 45w. I always find it funny when I hear people say they don't care for the para-soy melts cuz they don't last as long or whatever. I find they last longer!

  5. Ok, I love these two scents. They smell wonderful. But I'm finding out with my normal wick they are drowning out in pure soy gb415 cd 12 in half pint jj. I've wicked up to a cd14 and am having the same results. Anyone find they have to wick up on these two oils or have issues wicking them? Everything else is the same as other candles that I make. I'm using 1.5 oz pp with the peach cob and 1.2 pp with the zucchini bread. Thanks for any input. I love the fragrance and I want to make these work but going to an even higher wick is a scary thought for this jar. Ok, maybe I will try wicking down also. Thats worked in the past on some oils. Otherwise will have to try less FO too. So just curious as to what others have found with these scents! Thank you!

  6. I really do wish they would improve their shipping time and the shipping estimator in their cart. My shipping is always higher on my invoice and they also charge a couple of bucks for insurance too.:undecided ??? Because of them I have trust issues with shipping estimates LOL and I always email a new company before placing an order to verify the shipping reflected in my cart.:rolleyes2 I do love some of BCN's oils (but I've learned to live without them for now) and I've always bought my CD wicks there back from when I first started b/c they're awesome. I didn't feel like messing around with all the disappointment this time though (or calling in to check) so I ordered some CDs (and a few FO samples, I couldn't resist :grin2:) from The Candlemaker's Store. I placed the order this morning and had a shipping notice, USPS Priority no less, by lunchtime. I hope they are good, consistent quality wicks b/c then I will be completely weaned from BCN. If they could improve the above two things though, I would order again in a heartbeat.

I totally agree with you on the shipping estimates. It's ridiculous. I have been ordering from them for years and majority of the time my actual shipping would be same or LESS than the estimate at checkout. But the last two orders have been much HIGHER than what the checkout estimator stated which is a shock when you budget X amount if dollars and then you get the charge notice and its much more! I was totally screwed on my last order where the estimator stated a reasonable price for what I was ordering but then WHAM they slammed me with a huge cost because they put my order into two boxes! The shipping cost for that totally blew my costs out of the water! Almost doubled my shipping cost! Then another order was 16 lbs. total weight but yet my shipping was MORE than they charged me to ship a 50lb box if wax! How does that work? 16 lbs cost more than 50??? It's getting ridiculous and they need to do something about that estimator!

  7. Maybe next time you should think twice before asking for "everyone's opinions" to then just turn around and act pompous to those who give opinions you don't like.

I still stand by what I told you. It depends and I prefer the suppliers who offer a choice. You don't like to hear that? Oh well

Maybe you should just stay out of my threads! Sounds good to me! And the only one who got their nose out of joint here is you when it was pointed out that you obviously didn't understand the question asked! Have a nice day!

  8. Aren't shipping costs based on your zip code, distance from company and speed selected?

That said, I like it when suppliers offer choices (USPS, UPS, Fed Ex). Sometimes you have no choice.

Well obviously yes! But which suppliers do you think offer reasonable shipping - to you-. Of course you won't know what it's costing others. I believe some pad the shipping and do not give you exact cost. Just wondering what others have found or think...

  9. So it isn't just me! I ordered some samples from NG a few weeks ago and was sooooo disappointed in them in my 415 soy. Just no throw at all. Weak weak weak! I used to love their oils and really didn't have probs in my soy but after these samples I'm really disappointed. These were also touted as working great in soy and strong....not! Bummed!

  10. Insert LIKE button here :) Completely agree! That, and she's the owner of Front Porch Candle Co. so each time you buy from her you are contributing to your own competition.
The free shipping stuff is just another way to rip people off & I will not buy from such places.

Yep I agree too! She's not on my list of suppliers!
