black cherry bomb from nature's garden is a good strong one.
-
Pier One has a Java Patchouli that I would just LOVE to get my hands on
that sounds like that smells goooood!
-
i was just looking at taylored concepts website and they have boone's farm strawberry hill :rolleyes2 ...it made me laugh, i wonder what their stuff smells like--i've never ordered from them before.

Do you pour and then place the Wick Centering Tool or pour with it already on the jar? My hands shake and I don't think I could aim very well in that small space.
after...but it's not that bad.
-
and i just ordered this too.. thanks!
i just got the wick centering tool yesterday...and it is the BOMB!! it makes life so much easier...thanks for sharing this!

I second the Natures Garden. It is very yummy!
yes, that is a good one..hot seller, especially in incense. "lick me all over again" smells good too!

You are correct, I just looked at their newsletter.....
No paypals or money orders will be taken after December 13th due to year end inventory
yeah...i placed a order the other day and selected paypal--they called me and said that they weren't accepting paypal until after the 1st of the year for inventory purposes, so i had to pay with cc instead.

I agree that it doesn't throw as well as my straight soy. But it does color well, with very little color. They have a beautiful appearance and pretty sparkly crystal looking tops. If I remember right, the wax was a little pricey, and they do not have distributors for it, you have to buy from them direct. Which if you live up in their part of the world is not a problem, but Texas is a long ways away and shipping would be a killer. Also, don't try to mix any soy with it to improve the throw, it kills the cool effects. It is a beautiful wax though, I still have some, just haven't made any in a while. You also had to kinda treat it like palm, if I remember, keeping relief holes open while it is cooling.
i was just wondering...what if you were to make a regular candle with your soy and then top it off with the sparkly looking wax...would that look cool or dumb?

www.exoticfragrances.com i use their incense oils in soy with no problem, and their dupes are always on point.
-
That's cool! I'm gonna have to add this fragrance to the order i'm placing tommorrow.

www.naturesgardencandles.com has a good orange clove..but it has a bit more than a "hint" of clove in it..but it's popular with my customers.

Here's the link to the suppliers that carry the wick centering tool :rolleyes2
and i just ordered this too.. thanks!

me too. although I think if I have a big fundraiser again I will definitely get those wick centering plastic "crosses". The only thing is they have to fit the jar so a little homework is required before ordering. I think for a lot of candles at once that will be the way to go. For now I eyeball carefully, then pull them up and make sure they are centered. Don't ask me how many I pull off and do over, I am NUTS about centered wicks.
i was thinking about trying these too--i'm gonna order these today.

in your containers -- i was reading on another message board and this lady was saying that she uses a glue gun, do alot of people do this?
was just being nosey :rolleyes2

i think your site is good but i really laughed at the incense names ,it kinda shocked me:D
yeah..i only sell my stuff at craft shows occasionally and when i do i usually only sell shea butter.(can you imagine the looks i would get? lol)-i do lot of festivals where people are walking around drinking, dancing and having a good time, so it fits in there. some of my candles have the same names too, but i haven't listed them yet. I sell ALOT of incense.
i left my website white because i liked the clean look, i thought it would make the pictures of my products pop out -- i am in the process of taking more pics and getting a logo made..i'm not the type of girl that would put santa and reindeers, or hearts, or that primitive type country cabin cutesy stuff on my page...i'm not putting it down--it's just not me. i guess you could say that i sell to a totally different crowd than that. I just need to find an appealing look, that's all..thanks for all the honest opinions--i appreciate that.

Don't read any further if you don't want an honest opinion...
As a graphic designer, I think it's too dis-jointed and confusing to the reader. You have broken the page down into left and right halves, with text, and lines everywhere, bold fonts, red ink, blue ink, black ink, at least three different sizes of fonts, and a photo of candles that overwhelms the page. The eye doesn't know where to focus.
If it were mine, I would place things centered on the page, I would add wholesale buttons and craft show buttons to the top bar where you have "home" and "shop online." The way they are now, they are almost un-noticeable.
Frankly, I would do away with your background information because every candle and b&b site basically says the same thing. You haven't said anything compelling that would make me think your candles or incense are better than anyone else's. How do you provide the "best shopping experience on the web"?
I understand if you have limitations with what you can do if you are using a template. I'm not trashing your site, just giving an honest observation. I'm looking at it, as if it were my site and addressing things that I would want to change.
wow..so basically it sucks-- LOL--so what are your prices for web design? could you email me? billyne@gmail.com

i get mine from www.exoticfragrances.com. they're kinda pricey but there dupes are head on!
