I like silicone spray better...it can be found in auto parts stores or in the auto parts section of walmart or k-mart here in the states.

Either one will help though. I guess it's just a matter of preference. Rustics seem to me to be harder to get out than plain solids.

Try the *daylight* flourescent bulbs from walmart - they come in a 2 pack. 100 watts were the strongest that I could find...actually uses about 23 watts. They don't get very hot at all.

They come in a light blue package and have *daylight* written in the corner.

No doubt that Grumpy Girl is a really good photographer, but so are you. Your candles/lables and photo are all Very Nice!

I use 3 with spigots that I installed as per instructions. Be sure that after you finish your pour and empty your pot, to use your heat gun to ensure that all of the wax is completely out of the spigot.

Sometimes a little bit of wax can set inside and when you start the next pour you will have a little dab that can contaminate the next pour..

Just looking at those blisters, they seem to me to be some variation of finger nailing. While they aren't identical to fingernails, I suspect that the two aren't unrelated.

4625 has vybar in it which makes it less desirable for rustics. The best wax for rustics is a fully refined straight paraffin = a wax that doesn't have additives preblended in it like the 4625.

IGIs' 1343 or Candlewics' 4045 are 2 of the most popular choices for making rustics.

Those are very pretty! Try adding about 3 tablespoons of stearic per pound at 185 degrees to mix and then pour around 150 degrees and see if you get the rustic frosting that you're looking for...:smiley2:

As far as packing goes, I might wait until the weather cools a bit before shipping them as samples with the jewelry or ship on mondays so that there is less chance of sitting in a hot warehouse or on a hot truck over the weekend. (so they won't become melted melties.. )
