  1. Do you have to put your first name in the business name? I am asking because I never remember a person's name if it is in their business name. I find first names totally forgettable- unless you are huge like Victoria's Secret or something like that.

  2. Plus shipping from West Coast to East Coast is a bit pricey.

Yes, it is pricey. However, when I used to shop at BB, I paid much more for shipping with them than with other suppliers in the very same state. Also, shipping always took forever. They have do have wonderful products.

  3. I DID! I apologize that I misspoke about it being an isolated incident. I was only trying to get across that I have not had any problems with them and if people are having problems maybe the owner (Rich) should be made aware.

No apology necessary, but yes, it is NOT an isolated incident.

It is good that it has been addressed now as far as this particular incident goes. I hope that this is a step forward toward correcting future orders from good customers.

  4. For some reason, the woman who used to run BCN is no longer in the picture. She hasn't posted on the site in a year or so. Nobody who knows has said a word about her disappearance, as least as far as I can see. Things have surely gone down hill since Doneen left. Shame.

I never knew this and your comment speaks VOLUMES. I have no idea who once ran or currently runs BCN. I do know that the service the past year has been very poor and there has to be a significant reason for this.

  5. For me, there is no oil worth $50 a lb. WSP used to be reasonably priced as far as suppliers go. Their shipping was always high though. Now, their prices with shipping included are so inflated, I honestly don't know how they are in business. They do have some lovely oils. But I have managed to find substitutions for most of them. Cost is an enormous factor and WSP is just not cost effective.

  6. I buy from BCS now. They are further away and do cost a bit more to ship. However, I just adore some of the Bittercreek products. BCN takes too long to ship and for me their communication is awful.

I do not know exactly what transpired in your dealings with BCN samandkennasmom. I do know that if a credit card is declined for whatever reason, a decent company contacts their customers right away. There are several reason why a card is declined aside from insufficient funds. One of the biggest reasons include using a new card, a replacement card, or a card that has not been activated yet. Tehe 15% restocking fee should not apply either because your card would have been declined BEFORE the order was packed and ready to go. Based on what you have described, it is very shoddy customer service.

  7. There already is a problem. The client is not respecting ironrose's wish to wholesale. Ironrose gave in (which I would not have) and permitted consignment on a trial basis. The client is now backtracking on the orginal agreement and is ignoring ironrose's selling plan which happens to be wholesale. They simply do not want to put out the money and are clearly disregarding the policies of the seller. You have to be blind as a bat not to see the problem looming already. The client needs to find someone who readily consigns and who is fine in that atmosphere. Ironrose is clearly not comfortable in this consignment arrangement or else she would not have been pushing wholesale in the first place.

  8. Candybee, I always use Select Shades for all of my soaps. It is wonderful in CP. To be honest, I do not know where to turn if Select Shades disappears as well. I have been using Select Shades for many, many years. Their Electric Kiwi is amazing. I do not use the Basic 8 set. I consistently use False Blue, Lemon Yellow, Muted Red, Electric Kiwi, Marmalade, and Violet Red. The Purple Velvet and Aquamarine are very nice. I just have no need for those colors and prefer mixing the others.

I feel your pain too.... Their Fresh Apricot is so nice. Sigh.... :sad2:

  9. I really, really miss them. They had some of the best oils I have ever used and have not been able to replace them.

I could not agree more. I purchased 4 oils from them in 4 oz sizes. (The only one that I did not care for was the wisteria.) I was going to stock up on the other three, but have decided not to. What is the point? Eventually they will run out and I will be back to square one again. It is very sad that this company can just not make it. I think that Select Shades will eventually be on its way out as well.

  10. Kimmys Kandles (Fragrance Oil Heaven) used to have the most amazing Ambrosia fragrance oil. I actually still have this lovely scent that I use for my own personal stash. ICS had an Ambrosia, but it never was like Kimmy's Kandles. Ambrosia is a very popular selling scent for me, so over the years I just conjuered my own version and it sells very well. If you have coconut, marshmallow, and fruity scents on hand, I am sure that you can come up with something very nice.

  11. whereas Ebay, for example, offers feedback on both ends of the transaction.

FYI, this is not topic related, but Ebay certainly does NOT offer feedback for both ends of the transaction. A seller has no idea if a customer is a problem based on displayed feedback. A seller is ONLY able to leave positive feedback on Ebay. Ebay changed their feedback system in 2008 which is the main reason why I quit selling there. I do not agree with seller blackmail using negative feedback to spite a buyer who left it for them, but Ebay's current feedback system stinks. There has to be a better way and Ebay has not found it.

That said, I prefer to run my business based on the numerous positive selling experiences that I have had. I certainly have had my share of difficult cutomers. However, they are my difficult customers and I would rather just move on and keep my own short personal private list.
