  1. I am not sure how you plan to use it, but the greatest Christmas Tree scent that I have ever used is from Brambleberry. It is called Christmas Tree Cybilla Fragrance Oil. I have never smelled a bad Christmas Tree scent, but I prefer some over others. Brambleberry's Christmas Tree is the absolute best that I have ever used.

  2. I do not make candles, so I cannot give an opinion from that perspective. However, as a soaper, I can tell you that quite a few of their fragrance oils are weak. I have never found weak fragrances from some other companies that I use- including Peaks. That said, there are quite a few strong fragrances from NG that I just love and order regularly. They also ship promptly and have very good customer service.

  3. I have never had, nor would tolerate a retailer knowing my costs at all and telling me how I should be selling. How do they even know what price model you are using? This is not their business. Be firm on your price and that is it. You do not need to explain anything. So in answer to your question about fussy retailers, I would move along to clients who are willing to pay my price.

  4. Handmade soap never helped my eczema. I lost 9 fingernails as a child and slept with cotton socks on my hands. My eczema has gotten better as an adult, but every summer it flares up on my toes, on my back and at joint areas- behind my knees and where my arms bend at the elbow. I agree that stress is the number 1 factor- at least for me anyway.

  5. I am not crazy about bakery scents. I am into anything ocean, tropical or fruity. I also am also fond of some florals- like Sweet Cakes Peony. Other faves of mine include SC blueberry, SC Black Raspberry, and WSP Coconut. ICS had a beautiful Wisteria years ago that they discontinured. One of my all time favorite scents....

  6. That sucks :( and Etsy is never very good about siding with the seller as opposed to the buyer, even if the buyer is being a jerk.

Yes, it sucks, but Etsy has always sided with me- the seller. You just don't here about it often because most people do not post about their good experiences with Etsy.

Etsy's feedback system is not perfect, but it is better than some other sites. I just wish that the seller was able to respond to the comment left which would allow for the buyer to draw his/her own conclusion.

  7. I hope that your friend has no intention of selling these soaps made with rancid oils or even giving them to anyone. It may be perfectly harmless, but how gross is that? You are not wrong at all for telling your friend not to do this.

  8. After reading your post it got me thinking just how much extra I paid using South rather than North. I put the same amount of FO samples in my cart along with the lip balm and UPS shipping came to just under $2 more. I was surprised and happy with that.

I am glad that you did not have to pay much more. You will find that the $2 is worth less aggravation. I usually only have to pay $2 or $3 more in shipping, and that is fine with me. I appreciate Flicker taking the time to help so many customers. I just honestly think it is a shame that Flicker has to keep getting to the bottom of things" and following up. WTH? Flicker would not have to do this if people were doing their jobs. I will pay a few extra dollars and order from BCS...

  9. I need to order lip balm base and had been checking other suppliers' reviews to avoid the delay. I might just go ahead and order BCN now.

I get the exact same base at BCN's sister company- BCS. They have super customer service and very quick shipping.
