  1. I made this yesterday when I tested it it was clear. It was late so I just left it in the oven and in the morning my tester was a litte cloudy plus it had film on top. So i cooked it some more just to make sure. Did the zap test on tongue no zap. So i thought it would be ok. So i boiled water and poured it in the soap pot. Put it back in the oven and truned it off. Couple of hours later i went and took a look. Beautiful clear soap. Poured it in a gallon jug. Today It is cloudy can not see though it. Don't know what to do. got any suggestion?????????

  2. The group is great. they will help with any problem you might have, ask me how I know that one.:laugh2: In the files you can find recipes and instruction on how to. What cream soap will look like through different stages. Bekka is great and every one is great. Even our own Marry Ann got help from Bekka. I have a few folks that love the cream soap recipe i got from there. Rose clay cream soap. It is great stuff wen you finally get your head wraped around it. Here is the link to get there. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/CreamSoap/

  3. Bekka does have some really nice cs recipes. I have made the Rose clay cs every one that has tried it loves it. One time I left out the rose clay and used super fine sugar for a facial cleanser. I have a friend that ask for it all the time.

In Jan. There is suppose to be a class on a every basic recipe for cs and ls. But i have not seen anything latley on it.

I would like to get a handle on how to put a recipe together that would be basic and you could add beenys to.

I have never tried the snow drift farm one.

  4. I work right down the street from LorAnn and thought I had it made for a while, but I can find much higher quality supplies online for lower prices..

I know what you mean I am out in Holt, thought that it was going to be great but it is as you say. In a pinch it is great to have it so close.

  5. Yes I have it put together right the bottom goes into the grove. Then when I pour the soap it bluges in the middle and today it looks as though it has come out of the grove in the middle on the bottom but still in the groves on the end. Do you know what i mean?????? Maybe if I can cut the ends alittle smaller the bottom part will stay where it belongs. My 2pounder is perfect. So I know it is in the cut I think. Thanks for answering. if you have an idea would be glad to hear it.

  6. I have got a problem with the 4# mold. It is leaking out the bottom. I tighten it up and it gets tight on the ends and it still leaks from the middle on the bottom of the mold. I loosen it up and it leaks for one end to the other. I got it in the coop in the spring I think. any hooo Can anyone give me some advice at what to do to it or helppppppppp please

  7. I have a cream soap i have made and you let it rot for at least 2months. My girl friend said she wanted a facial srub because she has some dry spots on her face. Soooooooo I thought instead of putting somthing to gether for her I jsut took about 4 oz of my rose clay cream soap and adding fine suger to it. The cream soap kinda thicken so i use alittle aloa vera juice. Then added sugar to the point where it was thick but not easy to stir. I made more than i needed. Filled a 4 oz jar for her and 2 2 oz jars. I am going to ship one out to my tester and she how she likes it. If any of you make cream soap would like to see what you do with it.

  9. Damn Grumpy is getting so famous that people are stealing her soapies off of porches to get it!! Wooooot!! :cheesy2:

Sorry about that happening to ya though beloved.. that's a true bummer.:cry2:

I know.... it is the first time that has ever happened. From now on I will have it left at the post office or have it signed for. It is the only way i can think of making sure i get my stuff. It was a birthday present to my self too. Oh well at least someone smells good.

  10. I just purchased TC Laboratories Shea Butter Body Lotion from the classies here and this stuff is very thick. I made a small batch for testing. I mixed in red color and twigs & berry scent and it is very nice and absorbed quickly. I only had to put it on once all day and I have very dry skin. I like a thick lotion so I feel like I am putting something on, so this is perfect. I really like it. In the past I have bought lotion bases that are real runny, so I am very pleased with this stuff. I think it could be used as a whip that is how thick it is.

what is TC Laboratories? Do you have a link for them?

  11. As for the squalane, any light oil will do. Remember, this is for your face so you may want to stay away from coconut oil. Use whatever you have! HTH

I am kind a new to this and I am not sure what a light oil might be? Could sweet almond oil be light? I do have at this time some oils I got on a coop. Apricot, grapeseed, macadamia. pumpkin seed, jojoba, meadowform. cherry. rbo, virgin coconut, monoi, Not sure what is light or heavy?? Is there a place to find out? Thanks for the help.

  12. I made an apple cider and apple soap. Used apple cider as the water. It did turn a funny color but i was comitted. I also used a 1Tablespoon of apple puree. Man it riced but so i put in the Fo [apple cider] and sb the sn__t out of it put in mold. I then put it to bed and did not look at it for about two days. I thought it was gonna be trash. But it was great. Now my dd boss loves it and bought my last two bars. She took him one free because of his skin. So now i have to make more. I also did a cuke one I but in 1 tb. ppo I only make 1pd. batchs. Just a hobby for me. Mabe i will start making more.

    Have fun

  13. looks like your in time for the coop that is for MP. I have never done MP but think i will give it a go. I do cp and for me it is just a hobby. Most expensive one i have. I had to take all my soap making stuff to the basement because it took to much room up. A closet and a cupboard or two. I am starting to make cream soap too. I really like the feel of it. It take a couple of month to cure, or become mellow. You could use it a coulpe of days after but would not be as nice. It does cook. Careful it is addicting and you will want any and all the things that make a really nice bar of soap. Like silk and and and and You get the idea. Welcome have fun
