  1. You would think that the reps would get the warmers cheaper but $20 is the price I was told. But then they mark them up to $30 according to the prices listed in the catalogs. I see that jackel has some cute ones that would probably fit what I'm wanting but they min order does make me shy away a bit.

  2. I do not give out receipts unless asked. I do however write everything in a reciept book so that I know where it was sold, what was sold, and what price was charged and also what day it was sold. I have a book for my sister's tanning salon, a book for craft shows, and a book I use for odds & ends so to speak (whatever doesn't fall in the other two).

  3. I am looking for warmers in the style of scentsy...electric, one or two pieces that are sophisticated looking. Does anyone have an idea? My understanding is that they cost the reps $20 each so ordering from a rep is not something I am interested in and as I said I do not want scentsy just something in that style. I have read the previous posts about waxcessories and the recall. Are the "simmer pots" on their website now electric warmers? Maybe someone out there can think of terms to search that I haven't came up with yet. TIA Jenn

  4. Hi everyone! I have a few customers who return their wickless tins to me for 50 cents off their next purchase. While this works pretty well, I do have trouble getting my old label off the lid which I then clean up with rubbing achohol let dry and put on a new label when I pour. So here's my question....does anyone know if you can buy just the lids for the tins? I currently use the 6 ouncers from Peaks, I have bought the 6 ounce from somewhere else and let me tell you the lids from the somewhere else where a tad too small for the tins from Peaks.

    Thanks for letting me know!

  5. I had a problem with the very first order I place with them. But after emailing them and explaining that I had needed those labels like the next day. They not only sent out the correct ones but also sent them overnight in the mail. That's why I keep going back. :D

  6. Peak~ Cranberry Citrus, Cranberry Apple Marmalade, Spruce Christmas Tree, Amish Harvest, Cinnamon Balsam

Lonestar~ Butternut Pumpkin, Autumn Pear, Cranberry Peppermint, Autumn Lodge

The red ones are ones that I had aleady considered trying so I think I'll be moving those over to my definate list.

    Thanks :D

  7. I currently use the 6 ounce tins for my wickless candles but have had some customers wanting a second size. I really prefer tin so is there anything in the 10 or 12 ounce range. I really don't want to only go up to 8 ounces and the 16 ounce tins don't fit on the warmers very well.

    TIA Jennifer

  8. I had my testers try Lonestar's Pumpkin Pie Spice, Peaks Sweet Pumpkin Spice, and Nature's Garden Pumpkin Pie. They preferred Lonestar's Pumpkin Pie Spice, so that's the one I carry.

For my spicy pumpkin I chose Lonestar's over Peaks also. Actually oob I liked peaks better, but once it was poured I changed my mind. Haven't tried anything from Nature's Garden. I think I'm going to try a few from Lonestar, BCN, and Daystar and if those are working for me well there are obviously other great choices from Candle Science, Fragrance Oil Central and Candle Source.

    Thanks everyone!

  9. Who has a the best? I am willing to try a new supplier but currently order fo from BCN, Lonestar, and Peaks so if one of those has a really good one let me know. The customer in particular wants a pumpkin that is not spicy so maybe a pumpkin that isn't "pie" but souffle or cake or something.

    TIA

  10. Not to hijack this thread, but has anyone had problems with the beads melting together in the bags while in cars in the summer? I tested these last year with my family and if not broken apart they became one big ball so to speak.

  11. I know displays have been beat to death, but I need a low cost display for my wickless tins so that I can wholesale to the local grocery store (I've worked for them 3 times and they love me!, the produce/flower manager would sell them if I have a display). Okay so I use 6 ounce tins (like the ones at Peaks) and need to display them in such a way that the top label is showing. any ideas are greatly appreciated as I have no imagination for building and would prefer that since I think it would be most cost effective.

    TIA Jenn

  12. I'm not technically using the wax at this point. I am only testing. which is why I wouldn't be worried about blending it because I should be able to detect different performances in comparison to the straight para soy that I have tested with a bit already. Plus I don't make votives at least not at this point--I would only be using it for melts. HTH

  13. On Friday I will be getting my first batch of beeswax. I can't wait. I have researched this entire site using beeswax and bees as search words. But I still can't help but feel that more information is out there. If anyone has any helpful links regarding beeswax candles it would be greatly appreciated. I am specifically interested in votives to start with then perhaps tealights and tapers most likely hand dipped. Huricanes are a possibility but not very soon. I have many notes already but like I said I crave more information.

    TIA

  14. I've tried a lot of different waxes for tarts (from pillar, votive and wax that is said to be made for tarts) and always went back to KY's votive/tart wax. Looks the best and has a kick butt scent throw over any of the other waxes I've tried. HTH

I've recently been testing this and I agree that it has an awesome scent throw! I had to turn one off it was so strong!

  15. Ky is one of the suppliers that give very little if any info about what is in their blends.

I was worried someone would say that. I had already emailed them asking just the percentages and told them I wanted to know nothing else and they didn't answer. Anways...I guess I will probably mix in more soy for my peace of mind so that I can call it soy blend rather than para soy.
