  1. i had a request from a customer for a certain color candle (black!--hope she's not doing any voodoo!) and i don't like the way it turned out. is it possible to melt it and do a repour? would i need to add more fo? the color wasn't as black as i wanted it so i need to add more color. never had to do this before because i've always been pleased with my container candles. i don't see why it would be a problem but thought ya'll could help.

  2. thanks to all of ya'll......it was the biggest mess i've ever seen!!! although little blue paw prints all over my tile floors looked kind of cool....for a minute! still got a lot of stains in my grout..but i'll go get what ya'll suggested. one of my dogs stuck his nose in it...now it's bright blue! poor thing!

  3. this is an off the wall question....i spilled a bottle of liquid dye on my kitchen countertops...tile...of course. i can't get the stain out of the grout!! i've tried everything i have in the house. has anybody done this?? i know, i know...i should've put down something! any suggestions???? (it's also on my tile kitchen floors and now on my dogs because they stepped in it!)

  4. i've tried making chunks with a blend and they were difficult to work with and i have gotten the best chunks with straight paraffin. also i think you should wick up as i've found...if you plan on having chunks comming out of the candle top. i found the wax doesn't burn evenly over the chunks..so i wicked up and it did. hope that helps:p

  5. just like me!!!! i can't wait to click the "order" button and get my FO's!! Who knows, maybe you'll like the french van....i just didn't think it was strong enough. But trust me i think next time you should order warm van sug!;)

  6. hey fern.....just a question about using your own printer to print labels. you are talking about your regular computer printer..right? do you have to use special paper or something? forgive me if this sounds stupid! just wondering how it works since i too would like to print my own labels from my printer instead of ordering them. thanks

  7. thanks for the suggestions.....i am making containers. i'm fairly new to candle making and haven't even begun to try pillars yet! i made the chunks using straight parafin and colored them. but when i poured the overpour it didn't quite turn out the way i had expected. i guess i was looking for more of a clearer look. it kind of turned out like milk with chocolate chips!

  8. i've been experimenting with different kinds of waxes and found astrolite q is reallly unique and different but found that after it's hardened the oil scent is still wet and in pools on top to the candle. has anyone dealt with this and knows why it's happening? thanks:rolleyes2
