  1. Sounds like you've got some good strategy already. It does take time. I don't know how long you have been selling but always promote your products when you sell with flyers, bus. cards., etc.

I love New Orleans. I used to live not to far in Baton Rouge and go into New Orleans all the time. Its going to take time locally so I would promote my website as much as possible.

Do you have large signs to hang up at your shows that show your web addy in large letters? Make sure your website is on everything, all your promotional literature.

Does your website have bread crumbs and META tags?

  2. I just went thru 5 cases of J50 from a diff supplier and had a similar problem with my jar candles. Sure you usually get a few wet spots but this batch was unbelievable. Huge, I mean huge wet spots all over the place. It would be way too much work to zap each jar with a heat gun. But it only did it with some of the fragrances while others came out perfect.

I found it baffling. Some jars were positively crappy looking while others were perfect. I tried lower temps and higher temps and it didn't seem to make any difference. I could only surmise that it was the wax itself cause it never did that to me before.

But what really gets me is the price of wax and shippping is so high I drive to the supplier to get the wax. I saved about $200. Its not like I have a whole lot of choice of using a different supplier. There are no suppliers in Virginia so I traveled to West Virginia to get my wax.

I still like the J50 but this is gonna make me get off my butt and start test out some new waxes.

  5. Hello...Yes I went to this last year. It was only a one-day event then. This year it was cancelled for some reason. It was GREAT!!! Lots of info, sales on supplies, demos, prizes, goodie bags, etc.

Try to get there if you can. HTH..Ruby

That's all I need to hear. The price is sure right. I would love to see some new and interesting 'creations'.:)

  6. I agree. Nice picture!! The label on top looks great. Looks like you used a see thru label.

I have some Candelina jars that are similar and I just use them to test. I tried a label but found I had the same problem. Not even a round label will fit properly. I will have to try doing one on the top.

Candle-lite uses the round jars and they have their own special labels printed up for their jars. Must be nice.
