    cant you just get them in bulk at your grocery store? Mine has a bulk food section where its self serve...so cheap & no shipping fees.

    I actually make mine with a feel touch...I dont follow a recipe neccessarily. is it too dry for you? Does it crumble? You may need a tad more oil. I also dont use alcohol...I use WH and I spray it to the feel. if you need more time in the mold you may need to leave it longer. Also your weather is a great factor for your bombs turning out.

    oh my word I hope he is ok....so hard to say since you bought it off ebay. Not telling what you really got. Was it sealed? Did it have original packaging w/ ingredients list? I would not chance it & go to the Dr just in case:(

    I guess I should also clarify that I dont do candles and do you just advertise to people you know???? I was thinking of strangers but I am not sure about that. Pictures would be a plus I haven't done a craft show cuz I am a scardy cat:shocked2: stupid little anxiety issue I have pathetic I know. I just thought doing a sale in my home would be easier however I dont want freaks to come and how can you discourage them from coming LOL:laugh2: I cant say "no freaks, scary people allowed" ok anyway back to topic

    How many do home shows? Do you have pics on how you set up? I keep debating this ...concerned about strangers coming into my home. Didn't want to have it outside like a garage sale so I am just asking to see what you all do.

    so I am getting the guts to go through with trying soap for the first time. I am trying to gather all my supplies and my question is about scales. What kind of scale/where did you get it..I have a postal scale but I dont think that would work??? I will be using a simple recipe where my postal scale will work but if by chance I brave out and use a more complex recipe I want to be prepared. boy oh boy just to get prepared :embarasse

    I think I am ready to get over my lye fear...So please tell me an easy recipe for a starter? I have been reading and reading and just a bit overwhelmed. I wanna try a good recipe and get myself organized. So if anyone is so inclined to help i would appriciate it.

    so I really want to try & make soap however my fear is lye, I know I need it but what to do when you have little ones? I guess I have read all the fears, scares and unfortunate accidents so now I am terrified BUT really want to make some. How do you with younger children do it? My kids are not babies but I still worry since I read some awful things.

    actually it is the same, I just wasn't sure what it should be like. I have bought 3 different ones, they were all different. i read on other sites and have read different consistancies so I thought I would ask here. This is how mine is: Mine stays the same consistancy no matter how long it sits. It is creamy like when you blend butter, eggs and sugar to bake with.

    I have to speak up again that I had my main issues were on the fees for shipping and I dont think I had luck on customer service. But if the shipping/handling would come down I may try again .I ordered containers & bases...Liked the jars but not the bases. Just try them out & see how you feel aftyer you order...perhaps he was really busy when you talked to him. Its the time of the year that maybe he is just trying to get out orders fast. Good Luck!!!!

    I have a big bottle of this - what can I do with it????????? I dont make soap so I cant use it there, I thought reading through old posts that what most use it for.

    for me i dont like them s/h is WAY overcharged customer service was bad and their 3 base products i purchased were awful so for it stopped at the s/h fees :undecided
