How much oil and water do you put in?

I use 100% soy and have had great luck with these: Old Fash Banana Pudding Hot Orange Danish Pink Sugar (this one lingers for me) Mulberry (my favorite) Cotton Candy (light but does well in small room) Monkey Farts Strawberry Passion Strawberry Rhubarb Pie

I only make tarts, is why I make tarts sometimes to test. I haven't gotten into making jars yet LOL.

I know a candlemaker that tests her oils by putting an oz of wax in the jar and melting it first and then add a capful of oil. Swirl it around to mix. I am going to try that, it will save time I think. I make tarts to test my oils and I just got 50 new oils so if I can do it this way, I can test more in less time.

That would be the same as using my soy wax, melting it first in the warmer and then add a little oil. By using the soy wax, I can get an idea of how well the oil throws in my wax hehe.

Does anyone just put FO in a warmer and scent your house that way? I know someone that does that. She uses a jar on a jar warmer and just adds oil to the jar and it scents her house. I was also told that you could put a little wax in and melt it and then add oil so it would be like "making a tart in a jar." I am thinking what an excellent way to test new oils, doing the wax way.

I had my 18oz Sugar Cookie Crock jar burning last night and it didn't smoke at all and I trimmed the wicks before I lit it and never had to trim them again and no smoke.

Their Sugar Cookie, Birthday Cake and Mulled Cider are my favorites. If you keep the wicks trimmed, they DO NOT SMOKE.

I can see why, I melted a tart last night and that is all I could smell and I had 5 other scents going hehe

I love it out the bottle but haven't put it in wax yet. What kind of wax do you use? I use 100% soy and the review said it was awesome in soy so I got it hehe

I made the Vineyard, Caramel Cinn Latte and the Spiced Apple Pecan yesterday and they were all SUPER pouring, now can't wait to melt them this evening.

Very interesting. Sounds like she wasn't keeping the wicks trimmed. Gold Canyon do NOT smoke if you keep them trimmed, as with ANY candle, keep the wicks trimmed and it reduces soot. Even Soy candles smoke if you don't take proper care of them. I burn my jars for 3 hrs, wick dip it out, trim wick and relight and no problems. Also do not ever BLOW OUT candles, that makes them smoke too. Use a wick dipper. I burn GCC and have never had one smoke.

By Just Scent is AWESOME !!! I made tarts today and hubby came home and said "I smell cappuccino." hehe. I can't wait to melt it, it is strong just sitting on the counter

I placed an order with them and just got my email shipping confirmation and good thing I checked it. They had my city/state/zip wrong. They had the right street address but had it going to Victoria, Iowa. So I emailed them real quick and they just replied and they got the zip changed before it left their ups center, so I should still hopefully get it WED hehe

I like the Mulled Cider and I use Snowtop's 100% soy wax and it throws AWESOME. I didn't care for the Peanut Butter Cookies. I agree, Raspeberry Dream is AMAZING. Baked Apples is my Best Seller, try that yet? I haven't tried the others yet

I got from Snowtop: Banana Nut Bread Vanilla Bliss Pink Grapefruit & Ginger (new to me) Creme Brulee Fresh Linen (another new to me one) Then from Just Scents (all new to me): Merlot Vineyard White Cake/Cake Bake Apple Cinnamon Bazooka Bubble Gum Brown Sugar Pecan Spiced Apple Pecan Caramel Cinnamon Latte Chestnuts & Brown Sugar Grapefruit & Vanilla Twist Can't wait to get them. I still have 10 new oils from Aroma Haven that I haven't tried yet hehe
