  1. Maybe its the particular oils you've tried Nat.

I've had really good results with the ones I've tried...Kojiki, Samsara & Happy Heart all in CB135 & my soy/pw pillar blend, all at 1 1/2 oz per pound.

I haven't tried the ones you listed & the only one I was disappointed with was Sandalwood Rose but I think that was more to do with the particular jar I was trying out.

  2. Soooooooo today I have poured Berts Cashmere in my soy /pw pillar blend @ 7% & it is super strong & very masculine.

It lingers for a long time, i can still smell it on my hands after demoulding the votives & pillar I made & to me it is smelling like a really strong Imperial Leather soap.

I think it will throw well after a very short cure but I'm away for a couple of days so it won't get lit til monday at least.

    Sally.

Thanks. Let me know how you like it in the wax, if you get a chance.

  3. Do you not have scales with a tare button?

You simply put a small empty container on the scales press the tare button so the scales reset to 0 then add as much fo as you are needing, in your case 1 tablespoon the scales should then tell you how much it weighs & you can work out your costs accordingly.

  4. They look fab.

I bought some gold wax ages ago but when I melted a little it smelled soooooooo bad I thought I'll never use it, now I'm thinking I could try something like that, especially with the frankincense & myrrh scent I've got coming.

    Thanks for the inspiration.

  5. i was wondering for all of you that have tried angel type is it true to the perfume. i have been using BCN version but it is double the price. and it is great that you can use it in soap.

Not sure if it's a good dupe of the perfume but I've used it in Ecosoya CB135 & in Ecosyoa PB/pw blend I make up & it works well in both.

I'd get a small amount & give it a go then you can do a straight comparison.

  6. I think it is interesting for the galactic crowd. I hope your candles are just as intriging as your website looks. I would expect your candles to look multi-colored and oddball shapes and sizes with galaxy names, not just standard FO names.

If I remember correctly the scent names are pretty funky too, nothing samey with this girly.

  7. Bert even with the increase in your prices your oils are still lots cheaper than from other companies. Your quality is usually great, your customer service exemplary & you never charge extra for shipping, so even with shipping over to me I am still getting a great deal & if I find an oil that doesn't work well for me I don't have to buy it again just cos it's cheaper.

Saving with you means I can afford to try some more expensive oils out once in a while.

Bless you Bert for all your hard work.

  8. I'm putting mine in cb135 too & my ecosya pb/pw blend I make up.

None of the oils you list have needed to be wicked up in my waxes & redwood & cedar, atm, & candy cane have all been decreased to 7%.

I think I could probably decrease that further & still have a knock out throw, especially after a longer cure (these 3 all throw really well after 3 days or less for me).

Haven't tried juicy fruit so cant comment on that.

  9. Good thing Sally since you sent me all your money :D That's better then an IOU in a box LOL

Yup & at this rate thats about all he's getting, unless the fair this w.e is a good one.

My timing was bad falling pregnant with him cos his birthday is 3 days before christmas too, but I have got him a nice pressie for that..........2 candles & an IOU in a box lol.

    Update on my testers....

    Orange Spice ...MMMMMMMMM

    French Vanilla.....nice, not overpowering.

    Rose......awesome so I cut back to 7% & it's still good.

Jasmine ....also very strong so I've cut back on that one too.

Angel....to me it smells like a lighter version of Peaks Black Canyon which is too strong for me so this one is a happy medium.

Jack Frost.......lovely...my 13 yr old loves this one too, said it made his room feel warm.

Satin Sheets ...I found to be a bit light but it could be my nose isn't working too well just now so I'll re test after christmas.

Tea Leaf & Jasmine.....gorgeous, a refreshing change after all the christmas scents I've been pouring.

Moonlight Path......this is the only one I have had no success with whatsoever. I thought it might improve after a longer cure but hasn't & no significant thow even after several hours of burning.

Redwood & Cedar.....throws well although I wasn't sure about its scent but now it's growing on me.

So now theres another box full on it's way, some of which are #s of favourites but a whole lot of others too.......good job I just bought another case of wax! :D
