  1. I heard triple scented was that the scent was 3 times stronger as store bought candles. Which I can see as the truth since most cheap store bought candles are only sprayed with scent. Therefore no scent after a good burn.
  2. Those are awesome !! I finally am getting the container candles down to pat ..LOL I want to try pillars now..
  3. It's true you can not use clipart or graphics that are copyrighted. I am a graphic artist and design my graphics. Today it's all the rave about artists sueing others us for using thier graphics with out permission. Be sure to read the artists term of use before using the graphics. There are a few graphic artists that allow you to use them for commercial use. I would try a google search.
  4. Thanks For the info.It is very helpful. As far as having the website I have I make the little gifts on the site and I had a partner that was the expert and made the candles. She died from a heart attack last month and left me all her candles and supplies. So I am learning to make my own. The candles I have for sale are ones she made just before she passed.I know I have tons to learn and lots of testing. I just want to carry on for her as this was our dream for such a long time.
  5. I am not a floral fan either but I have used BCS Southern Magnolia and I love it. In fact I made a ton just for me. And the cold and hot throw is great.
  6. I made some candles in a 16 oz jj with EZ Soy and FO then test burned one about 3 weeks later. The wick is too small and now I have a few I want to rewick. Do I remelt the wax and repour or can I just pull the wicks out and just add another wick? I know there is no way to get that wick back into the tab again. I have a friend who want to buy one and want it to be safe.
  7. Christmas Tree.. I mean it was horrible .. I won't ever make that again LOL...
  8. I just tested a soy candle I made 2 weeks ago with BCS Southern Magnolia. Oh my it is a really great scent! I left the house to do errends and before I even opened my front door the scent met me LOL. My hubby was at home while I was gone and a friend came over asking him what that great smell was as he had smelled it even before he knocked on the door. I used 1 oz of the FO pp of EZ soy. No color added. Don't you wish they would invent a way so we could smell the scents over the internet LOL..
  9. LOL that's my niece's idea of adding lace and a bow. Actually these are for her boss and she wanted to decorate it. but in my opinion it needs no decoration...
  10. Even though you said you would not make these again ,My guess is that you may get a lot of orders for your layer candles. These are very professional looking. I love them !!
  11. I am new at candle making and tried my hand at layers. Wow it takes a lot longer to make. I haven't tested yet as I am giving it time to cure. I did have some left over wax so I am using it in my electric burner, It isn't my favorite scent but it is strong. I used Lemon Pound Cake FO from BCS. The wax is EZ Soy from BCS.
  12. Thanks !!! I will just do a test and see how it goes..
  13. A friend of mine gave me 10 of these salt rock votive holders. See votive holder below, The holes where you put the votive are not perfectly round like a votive mold. So would it be possible to just pour wax straight into the holder hole? It will take about 4 oz of EZ Soy. I am just wondering if the salt from the holder will affect the wax or FO?
  14. Shell take your time in healing but just a little advice...Wait a little while before selling everything off. My mom had a quardruple bypass and she wanted to get rid of all her craft stuff ( she could have a store with all she has LOL )I talked her into just packing it away and think on it a few months. Now she is glad she listened. She is now picking up a few of her crafts and enjoying it. It's great therapy for her as her Dr. hasn't given her the ok to start doing things she used to do ( gardening ~ Yard work.)
  15. It was really smooth and thick. I didnt add anything but the FO.
  16. wow very nice!!I am just starting and haven't layered yet.
  17. I am using eco soy and decided to see how well it would whip up. I added coconut and lime and just a touch of vanilla FO's and no color. I cooled the wax to about 90 degrees and got out my mixer and whipped it for 10 mins. It was really thick so I spooned it on top of the coconut and lime FO dyed lime green wax I had poured earlier and let set.I then took a fork and fluffed it up. This moring I saw that it had hardend. This is my result.
