I swear, I kept looking at the pictures and I see alien heads. What are the pink and green things supposed to be. Sorry, I'm not trying to be mean, but all I see is alien heads.

I buy mine from Issaquah candle and supply. An 11lb slab is $10. I'm only a state away and the shipping parcel post on a case is only $15 with insurance. A few people have complained lately about his CS and shipping. I've never had a problem.

It is possible if you use the calc at MMS. That one goes by ounces or grams instead of percentages. Plug in all of your #'s and make sure you put the correct ounces used for the RBO. After you calculate, look for the amount of lye that you used and it will give you a good idea of the amount of superfat.

I usually get a free sample from MMS. Sometimes a note pad, a couple of times I've gotten free labels and twice I got samples of lotion. I've always gotten a free sample, but just never expect it.

I still haven't received mine. I hope it was mailed.

Did you check the routing # for your shipment. You have to go into his site to check it. I thought the 5 day delivery thing included weekends.

I was thinking about using some goat milk. Does that discolor soap also?

I am trying to make a new recipe using tallow. I want the bar to be white without using TD.

Here is the recipe I have so far.

Tallow 50%

Coconut Oil 10%

Castor 5%

Palm Kernel 10%

That is 75%. I know the recipe is high in hard oils, and tallow makes a hard bar. What other suggestions do you have?

I don't know which soft oils to use to not discolor the bar.

I also have some OO that says 100% olive, it is light in color but I can't find pomace locally. (Would I use OO or Pomace on soapcalc?) Would this darken the soap any?

I could change the percentages but I only have 16oz of Tallow.

I use 6228 for votives and tarts. You must heat your molds when you use this wax or you will get that ugly rustic look, like Fern said. It has great hot and cold throw and you can make any color candle you want, even dark.

I received an email back from BCN. Here is the reply.

If it is not listed as lotion safe it is only safe in products that are rinsed

from the skin and used in water. We have a GREAT hot cocoa scent that would be perfect to use in those however that is lotion safe

Now we know of 1 more Chocolate FO that is safe in Lotion.
