  1. Oh man, I just had these on a piece of paper, but it was getting hard to read and I wasn't using it so I threw it away. I got the recipes from this board. Go to the archives at the bottom of the page and then push search. Type in polysorbate and you should get a variety of recipes. I am so sorry that I don't have them to give to you. But going through the information will be really helpful to you. I hope you are able to find what you need!

  2. Well I was going to suggest wicking up, but you said that you have tried that. I will always have a full melt burn in my containers using 1945 and zinc wicks (different sizes, depending on the container) by 3 or 3 1/2 hours on the first burn. I guess if you aren't having any problems with with smoking or high flames, then you are probably alright : ) I think all those rules are pretty general anyway.

  3. We had a propane on demand water heater in the house we lived in before and I swear that it caused things to change color. I have heard people complain that sometimes candles in containers can cause black on their white walls, but that is just where the candle is. My GF only burns tarts because of this. However, I dont' think burning candles could affect the inside of the frig or the inside of the cupboards. I could be wrong tho....just thinking outload.

  4. Peaks has some great strong scents that kick in paraffin at one oz. In 4794, all peaks rock no matter the scent, I have found in container wax some scents respond a bit differently. That isn't just peak scents all scents, so I am betting it has something to do with the wax or the way I pour or something. The other day we nephews had a black canyon meltie going, mind you just one square from a clamshell. They blew it out and said whoa that is too strong. I think they are nuts me like my FO's like I like my men, strong....LOL. But some nose rockers are from Peaks:

    Blueberry Muffin

    Cinnamon Buns

    Asian Sandalwood

    Grape Cabernet

    Hazelnut Coffee

    Amish Harvest

    Sweet Pumpkin Spice

    Lemon Pound Cake

    White Tea & Ginger

There are more I am sure, but these are very dependable in containers.

  5. Anybody sharpen there trimmers. I can definatley tell the difference between my old one and the new one I just opened. Before I send my DH out to do it on his own (that just plain scares me...LOL....his a bit like Tim "the toolman" Taylor), anybody have some info on this. This are the nice ones the Carmen cooped.

  6. I am not the old ball and didn't like sugar plum berries as much as others, but the Clove is nice a strong and smells just like the real thing in my opinion. So if you like Clove scent, you will like peaks. Has a great hot throw in both J223 and IGI 1945.

  7. You know maybe it would be a good idea to figure out what part of the business takes a lot of time, but doesn't yield the profit. Maybe cutting down on the craft fairs or farmer's market or maybe not have the website, or cancel your wholesale accounts. I think I would do what it takes to feel better about things. I am always getting "why don't you have a website" or "why don't you put your stuff in this store or that store or market in this direction". Someone just bought some candles from me and said well I want something in Coconut, just coconut and how about some peppermint. Of course the first thing I thought of is sure I will get some of those for you. Then I thought, no way, I don't have too if I don't want to. I am in control, but sometimes I just forget...LOL. Good Luck to you. Sounds like you have a great business, maybe too great : )
