Sorry Jeff, I have tried a boat load of JS, but not that one. Let us know what you think about it when you get your sample. Sounds like you are going to have to be the guinea pig...LOL.

Excellent Budgie, thanks for the information. Well Scent Cellar looks like I will have to get some for us on my next Peak's order
-
Well I been wondering what people think about this scent? Anybody try it and have it rock their world
-
I make mine in a light peach. Although Hot Pink sounds good too : )
-
Well I am a huge fan of the Harmony blend. I have tried the comfort blend, but didn't like the mess, didn't like the hot throw and wicking was difficult. But it is really personal for everybody. Good to give both a try and see what works for you. Good Luck!

Wow, I really like that look. Beautiful candles.

Those are very nice and "eye-catching". Excellent job!

Oh boy I just had to read this thread. Now I want one...LOL. Keep on posting. Maybe I can ask Santa for one :rolleyes2

Really good job! Looks like you have a great set up with lots of stuff to choose from. It really seems that you put the effort into making it a great success. Sounds like something I would go to with my sisters if we still lived close to each other.

Yep Kimberly that is what I meant : ) Thanks Dani for the information. Many of the B & B suppliers suggest their FO's for candles, as does MMS (there now I can't get it wrong), so that is why I was curious about these. The Christmas Tree is the one I was interested in, so your information was exactly on target!
-
I did a search and nothing came up, but I am sure people use these. Wondering if people have tried any of their FO's in candles.

Wow...those are great finds. Wonderful prices and they look like they would be perfect for candles and B & B stuff. WTG!

Well I don't use the aluminum bottles, so that would likely make a difference on price. I use the 4 ounce frosted bottles. I usually put a price of $4.50 on them, but I just did my one and only bazaar last week and I reduced the price to $4.00. I still think people think that is too much though. It is crazy. I even had a woman at the next table telling people how great they were. I think I sold about 8 out of 16 bottles. But then I did get an order for a scent that I hadn't made any up in.

WTG...that soap sounds devine! I love it when people spread the good word about the products that we make.

That sounds really good! Hope the rest goes well : ) Did you ask Santa if he had been naughty or nice?.....LOL

It is incredible how addicting scents can be. I get so many samples because I just have to try each scent. I think I have tried almost every Peak scent there is....LOL. Getting a new box of scents is a highlight for my dd and I to open and smell together. I think I have about 25 in my so called line, don't really sell, but lots and lots of others.

HI and welcome to the board. That is the wax that I use to pour my containers and it has always been a true one pour wax. I love this wax. I have never had to poke relief holes in my container candles. Pillars for sure, but not my containers. I pour this wax @ about 170 dg into slightly warmed containers. I use three different sizes and have not had a problem with this wax. What temp did you pour it?

I use IGI 4794 votive wax. I use it for my tarts and votives. I usually use 1 oz per pound. I really like this wax because it is very easy to work with and it has a great hot and cold throw.

Those are so nice, love the presentation. That is the good thing about candle making, if it doesn't sell, there is always a place for it in our own homes!
-
That is so great. Your product looks so professional. Good job :highfive:

Well I am wondering if you can really afford to fire her. Is there someone that would be able to take her position and know what she does enough to meet your demands. It sounds like your MIL makes quality products and has the knowledge. That could be hard to replace at short notice during the holiday seasons. Even though you want to treat her like just another employee, I don't see how you can, she is your MIL and you are more than employee/employer. Yep, you did her a favor, yep she has treated you with disrespect. However, she sounds frustrated and everybody needs to vent. I am sure many of us have gone home to husbands, friends and said unkind things about our employers even when we like them, when we have had a hard day. It is a tough situation and you have been firm with her, but there are two sides of this, and I would really consider how much she has done for you too. I mean you said that she moved you almost by herself twice. That was hard work. Sorry you going through this....what a tough thing to go through. Good Luck

Wow that sounds exciting! Wishing you the best of luck

That is unlike Becky. Her service is right at the top. I think I would try emailing or calling her. Dang that is too bad that it is taking so long!
Peak's Asian Sandalwood vs other suppliers

I really love Peak's Asian Sandalwood, but it doesn't smell much like my regular Sandalwood. It is spicey like Scented said. I do notice that either people love Asian Sandalwood or hate it. Regular Sandalwood is much more gentle in my opinion.
