  1. Well hi Trish! Yea, the rustics weren't too hard to pick up & I love the look of them, but I found out pretty quickly patience is a virtue I'm severely lacking in! I want them out as soon as they're cool, lol. Im using 1343 & a twisted 30FB.
  2. Beautiful soap! I love honeysuckle too, it's one of my favorites. And marika - I would KILL for that tub! Gorgeous! My house is a 100+ yr victorian and we're still (for the last 2 years!) "discussing" the bathroom renovation. Altho I wouldn't be brave enought to use it, that shade of yellow is beautiful in the room. Would certainly wake me up (and that's saying alot!)
  3. I'd agree check locally for a chemical supplier. I'm in MD & use Tilley Chemical @ $1.05 lb. I made many phone calls when I started looking (I was originally looking for Oils, which I still haven't found) Normally I buy 150#-200# at a time, and I also get my Baking Soda & Epsom Salts from them too at a good price ($.35 lb). I have no idea about their shipping, as I either pickup or have them deliver.
  4. Ginger Peach: An ugly request from my daughter (scented JS Girls Night Out)- but she likes it, so I guess thats what it's all about huh? One of these days I'll learn how to take a decent picture too (uh huh..sure I will)
  5. I've got (8) 7.5# log molds now. Tried using a slab mold in the beginning because I love the swirls you can get, but I could never get the bars cut to my liking (liking=straight..lol), so log molds it is for me. I'm lucky in that my DH makes all my stuff for me, so if I need new..I just send him out to his workshop. Poor DH, lol, I'm like Goldilocks.. I've got 4 or 5 molds he made that weren't "just right".. too long, too short, not tall enuf.. ahh, now we're just right! Those molds just sit, I use them on occasion to tilt pillars
  6. I'm about the same place as AJ is right now - I normally soap 6-8 batches at a time, or 126-168 bars. That's in 4 hrs, so conceivably if I soaped for a workday of 8 hrs, I should be turning out about 336 bars. Lining the mold is easy, soaping is quick, but I wouldn't want to have to cut 300+ bars a day! Thats the sucky part of soaping to me.
  7. Love it! It screams "fresh & clean". Great job.
  8. Awesome job on both! I kinda favor the first batch without the pink myself, but they both look great.
  9. Yesterdays soaps, just cut, from left to right: Unnamed Cranberry (Cranberry, Pineapple & Brown Sugar) This one was soap on a stick, so no decent swirl this batch, but it smells awesome! Kitchen Soap (Cilantro, Lemongrass, Sage, Peppermint & Tangerine) American Somethingorother:tongue2: (Storm Watch & Amber mix, nice soft manly scent) Another one with no name yet Cotton Blossom Coconut Lime Verbena Peppermint Patty (hopefully this will cure into a darker green w/brown swirls)
