Are they added directly to the soap, mixed with oils or glycerin?

I tried shrink-wrapping, but I just can't get past the smell of the shrink-wrap.

I use the stretchable wrap from Walmart (their brand)

Well...6 qts. is 192 oz.

192 oz. is 12 lb.

I've never made crock pot or HP soap, so I'm assuming you need room to mix and for the soap to rise and do it's thing.

I use a 33% solution. Mine is stored in a gallon Sterlite pitcher. Some people use the large detergent dispensers with spigots.

I made a 100% EVOO batch for my granddaughter on April 11. I used a 45% lye solution and when it cooled off from gelling, it was almost too hard to cut with my cutter.

While I know that Castiles need a nice long cure, I've been using an end of this batch at the kitchen sink...the later is creamy and abundant already, so I can only imagine how good it will be in another 4-6 months or so.

There was a gal on other forums who used to use this mold exclusively, and I always loved getting her soaps in swaps, trades, etc. They were unique in their shape, sort of her 'signature'...she made them pretty chunky, and I just adored them!

The Tealeaf & Grapefruit is very fresh and I have people asking for more. It IS very grapefruitty, but I can defiitely smell the tea.

MillCreek's is very strong, you either love it or hate it. I love it. We found our customers like our's from Peak's better.

Any chance you might send me a sniffy of Peaks? I'll pay postage!

I've never used CF's Pomace so I can't compare.

A couple years ago, a new store opened in my area and they had 100% pomace for $5 a GALLON! Yup 128 oz! I stocked up then with about 30 or so gallons.

I've since switched to EVOO that I also got a great deal on and my 'basic' recipe has changed since those days also.

I never had much discoloration or noticed any fast trace with the pomace I used, but I do know that other people have had different results.

I'll 4th it! I use it for all my baby shower favors and it's always a hit.

I've used various brands/colors of pomace with good results, and really not much discoloration if any.

The one thing you really have to make sure is that it is indeed 100% pomace and not a blend. Read the labels (not just on the front) very carefully.
