  1. Is that sandalwood rose discoloring a little bit? Whose did you use? Mind if I drill you for answers lol. How long is that mold of yours? It's a lovely batch. What's the reddish color? I seem to not be able to get red so much as oh pink.

Questions always welcome, and happily answered!

It does discolor, this one is from my surplus supply from Old Mill before they went OOB. The mold is 18" long, 3.5 x 2.5 and I used 58 oz of oils and full water..went right to the top of the silicone.

The color is BB's Merlot Mica

Oh, and there are a couple of those molds for sale at the Dish on SoapSaver if you qualify to buy/sell there. Mine arrived in PRISTINE condition!

  2. hmmmm...ok, sometimes if I get confused when printing different things on each side, befOre I print the first side, I put a little arrow in pencil at the top of the sheet. This way I am CERTAIN I'm inserting it correctly.

Try this on plain paper. Print your first side then print the second side on a separate sheet, then put them together and hold up to the light...does it look right then? If so, then you are probably putting the sheet in wrong.

  3. I believe they were kind of inundated and their production schedule is way behind.

Instead of closing their site, they should have just explained it there. I was lucky enough to snag my beauty from SoapSaver at the Dish. I think I'm going to christen it tonight.

  4. With the depth of those, I don't think they'd generate enough heat on their own to gel anyway, Carol.

When I use my MW molds for CP (granted they are a bit thicker material than the clamshells) I gel them in the sun or with another heat source.

I think your baking spray should work fine...or a wipe with mineral oil.

  5. Same place as amillion and it arrived quickly. Keep in mind though I bought the pound I think and it isn't a product one rips right into without a ummm dusting of black powder ... everywhere.

I just mixed it like I do my micas and no probs.

That's where I got mine too, and 4 oz is plenty.

If doing a whole batch, I mix it right into my oils before lye solution. For swirling, added at trace by itself is fine. It mixes right in with no specks.

Just don't breathe too hard when you open that envelope! I transferred mine into a jar, then I put plastic wrap over that, then the lid.

edited to add: 1 tsp. PPO will give you a true black.
