  1. I never thought about testing in smaller jars first it sure would save a lot of wax.
  2. I did not find the glass hot it's a 26 ounce apothecary jar wicked with a HTP 105 it burns great just a little film on the jar.
  3. I have that happen with the CB Advanced & I think the 444 always leaves a film even with a full MP.
  4. I'm glad I found this thread. I'm testing a 105 in my 16 ounce mason jar & the flame is too high I don't have a 104 so I'm hoping a 93 will work.
  5. Good afternoon Sandra, Please let me know the size of Paper Caps that you would like to have a sample of from us. I have attached a sheet with the available sizes and pricing. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks again, Kevin M. Kline Vice President of Sales and Marketing Custom Paper Tubes, Inc. I just received an email from them with a PDF file for cap pricing. 3" caps for 1,000 is $73.00 not including shipping.
  6. I'm kind of thinking the same thing that would leave score marks so to speak where hopefully the would break apart. Will have to try that & see.
  7. Thanks for the heads up on this I won't deal with them.
  8. I was wondering if anyone makes chunk pillars with this wax. Since it is such a brittle wax do you have any problems with it? I mean as far as cutting the chunks or shapes.
  9. Candles By Adam September 15 FORMS FORMS FORMS!!!! SO MANY FORMS!!! Starting to fill out forms to declare this as a business and start collecting sales tax. yippie! Posted in his facebook page Very scary
  10. I'm waiting to hear back but I don't see anything on their site to order just the caps.
  11. It requires tube & cap for a quote. The other place I got a price list from I don't think offered just the caps either. I'm going to request a price quote and will post when I get a price. I'll try to find out if we can get just the caps. I was wanting the whole tube thingy but just the caps might be nice.
  12. I just got my samples from them. They are really neat. I wish they had a smaller minimum order though
  13. I've not been able to get a soy pillar to hug the shell breaks off.
  14. I read on here where several people said the 415 is easy to wick. Do you find it's easier to wick & has better burn/throw results than the GB 444? I'm trying to find a wax that will perform well in the 26 ounce apothecary jars. My current wax 70/30 I can not get it wicked to save my soul so I'm giving up on using that wax in these jar. Does anyone use the 415 or the 444 in these jars & have you had success double wicking & what would you suggest as a starting point for a wick? I have Eco's & CD's in a variety of sizes, some LX's & HTP's I have 444 & would like to work with it & not have to buy a new wax at this point.
  15. I have a little bit of everything Eco's & CD's (I have the most of & variety of sizes) LX, HTP's & Zinc's Guess I should have posted this in the veggie section I was brain dead at the time

  17. You are right the apothecaries are single wicked & the straight sided jars are single wicked. I wicked it this morning with (2) Eco 1's. The flame is really small but it's getting a melt pool. I think I'm going to have to throw in the towel on the 70/30 & try another type of wax.
  18. I only used one wick. Are these not the jars that Yankme uses? Theirs have a neck on them I've never purchased one of them so I have no idea how well they burn and they are single wicked. Do they use straight paraffin? I'm looking on their site to see if they state the type of wax it is but not finding anything yet.
  19. I absolutely love them but they are pricey for me I did request a sample pack. Perhaps someone could split the order if ordering just the generic packaging.
  20. 51z didn't come any where near the edges I have a PK 15 in it now after 3.5 hours it's not looking bad. Will keep burning to see how it goes on future burns.
  21. Thank you that will be my next step to try. It's just sooooooooooo frustrating & aggrevating you wouldn't think it would be that freaking hard to wick Makes me want to pull my hair out. I just put a 51z in it & lit it at 9:30am flame looks good so far just wonder if it's got the power to reach the sides. We'll see.
  22. Thanks for the information & help I guess I'm going to just have to use CB advanced for these jars since I've only got 3 cases. I got them at a great price & was soooooooooo excited if I can't use my regular wax in them & produce a proper burning candle then I will have to find another type of jar
  23. Do you think I should try triple wicking it to see what it does?
  24. The hot throw is knock your socks off strong & incredible
