  7. Hey don't be shy about posting pics ever again. Awesome.
  8. They both look so yummy. I have never heard of pumpkin flakes either. Interesting idea.
  9. Looks great to me and one of my newest favorite scents. LOL either you will need to cut them bars a lot smaller for all the testers or you will be needing to make another batch to go around when you are offering up the LLC... I haven't soaped this one yet, so I am anxious to see how the color turns on ya.
  10. Congratulations on the plunge into the crazy, fun soaping world. It just gets better and better. I have not been able to yet talk myself into trying a floral but when I do I am going to try using room temp lye and oils. I have read on this board that it works better for known seizers. I know that your next batch will be great.
  11. Thanks E. I think 4 lbs will be a good number to try and if it looks like too much at the last minute, I will make a couple of small soaps in molds. I was down for the count all wk end with a sinus infection so no soaping here. But I will get it done for sure this week or wk end, as soon as I can get some energy back. Care Bear, I will definately take pics, and hopefully they will be post worthy.
  12. Thanks you guys, i am going to give it a shot this weekend. Wahoo and I hope to have swirls that resemble swirls. LOL
  13. I recd' my new 18 bar Kelsei just before I left for Calif. I am back now and anxious to give it a test run. Can anybody help me with how large a batch I need to make these bars 1" or 1 1/4". I will be formulating a batch in the next few days so I can give it a go on Saturday. Any and all help, opinions and advise will be welcome and greatly appreciated. TIA ETA "grammar fix"
  14. I did also, but, I did it late at night. I am sure that they are totally overwhelmed with applications as the new and existing members are signing up for this. I bet we will be hearing something soon.
  15. I made a plain one with refined shea for Carol's swap and I really like the color and texture of the soap. (no added colorant for scientific purposes ) I haven't tried it yet for bubbles, but I think it will be fantastic. Thanks Darwin for sharing your great recipe.
  16. I like it a lot. Puts me in a happy zone. :smiley2:
  17. Gorgeous each and everyone of them. Brenda gal, You have such a talent and I love seeing your pics.
  18. Wow three times the charm. Very pretty and I am sure you are already planning the fourth. LOL I hope you have LOTS of curing space since you will be filling in a lot of nooks and crannys.
  19. Hey I would scoop that poop anyday....right into my tub. Looks great.
  20. You know what happens when you cut into that baby? You get ready for the next batch, and the next, and the next.......LOL Looks great.
  21. I hope this is allowed. I know that we are all interested in insurance costs and finding someone who will insure us. I have been keeping in touch with Handcrafted Soap Makers Guild for a few months since I heard on here that they were trying to get insurance for all their members that covers SOAP and CANDLES. Wahoo it is here now they have gotten a package for all their members. It is now a part of the membership and the insurance is in force immediately as soon as you pay the membership. Details are here: http://www.soapguild.org/public/insurance.php It covers SOAP and CANDLES............. Wahoo Suzie
  22. Christina, I caught that same bug, hmmmm must really be going around. Funky Monkey may I suggest one for your third series? How not to purchase "more stuff" for every new recipe that grabs me.:tiptoe: JUST SAY NO - 101
