I appreciate your response! Is there anything you do to get rid of the dimples or does it not bother you?

I do hate the dimples. It does bother me. I thought I could deal with it lol but it isn't cute. I think it's just us that worry about it but it is bothersome.  I am thinking of blending it with another wax. Trying to figure out what. What I mean by looking perfect is that it doesn't get weird like some waxes. I just want smooth.

Fragrance oil’s  can be considered HAZMAT depending on flashpoint.

The regs for shipping HAZMAT - combustibles and flammables - are set at the federal level, so the same rules apply for usps as ups or FedEx, etc.

US DOT sets the standards for shipping combustible and flammable substances.

    the highlights:

The DOT defines Hazard Class 3, flammable liquid as a liquid with a flash point at or below 60°C (140°F). This must travel surface only. No air/priority.

The DOT also regulates combustibles. Combustible liquids have flash points above 140°F and below 200°F.

all liquids must be packaged specifically to prevent leaks. I can look that up and post here if you haven’t stumbled on to it already on this forum 😊

Thank you this helps me out a lot.

I thought they just sold the ink to refill the tanks.... Didn't know they sold the whole tank with the ink for half the price. And it's original Epson tank & ink?

Yes that's what I meant. You buy the bottles of dye and refill the tanks. It I'd Epson original ink. I don't buy thr offhand because it voids my warranty. I heard it could break the printer too.

  4. I have an Epson 4700 Ecotank. I use it a lot but haven't to replace ink yet. I print a lot of color too. I am going to buy the original tanks though because you can get it for like $30 for all the colors which shipping included. There's a trick to it you just look on eBay and put it in your cart and then they'll send you a discount. I get  discounts all the time because of that. I thought that was weird but my daughter said nope they usually will send you a deal.

  5. I clicked the link and looked at the website. I had to see if they were really selling those crooked wick candles and they are for $26. It says they're sold out. That is insane. I get so upset when people do not learn how to make candles and just sell them. Candle making is an art and so many people cheapen it.

Candle science Original Gardenia. Every other gardenia out there doesn’t come close. Hoarding my remaining bottle

I have that one too. I can't find anything close to it either. I am so upset with their clean scents. I won't use them. They need to bring our stuff back. I'm hoarding the Strawberry shortcake too.

  7. I have the Peak that Keystone doesn't have like Lime  Cooler, Cornucopia, Cabernet Grapes and some others. I think Keystone doesn't restock it because ahe bought what was left. I heard several reasons on how she got Allen's fragrances.

I never tried that scent but it sounds great. I love honey.

  8. I called AFI last week. The lady told me it is still 10 pounds you would have to buy. Are you talking about Peaks? I have a lot of them and Candle Science originals too. If there are any you or anyone else might want to get duped please let me know. I even have Candle Science,  Mistletoe and Blue Spruce.

They must’ve had some accountant analyze their cost per order an eliminate small businesses. A few places have done that. That’s where co-ops come in handy.

A fragrance as we know from the other compounders it’s just a recipe. You might get lucky and get one that’s close enough, but you might not. I have a few Lee vermouth fragrances in my Destash that I’ll look through shortly and provide a list for. I know I have Mac Apple for one.

    Ok thank you.

You probably know that Lebermuth is just a compounder, like Agilex, Symrise, and many others.  I have purchased Lebermuth FO from BA, thinking the fragrance names was the same as what I had direct from lebermuth and it was entirely different.

Lebermuth has become difficult 😢 min orders are up to 50lb of a single custom FO.  I hope their business model is able to withstand that.

I did see that. I don't have that kind of money 50 lb is steep. I wonder why they're making it so hard? I'm glad I asked because I did not know that it would be entirely different. That's very disappointing but I do thank you for letting me know.

Are you talking about the stand up zip bags that can be heat sealed and are clear in front with the metallic back? If those are the ones you're talking about, I've never really seen anyone use them for packaging snap-bars. I've seen them used for small shapes/mini-melts.

These have a metallic front and back. They have a clear window but the sides are metallic and the backs are as well. They come in several sizes for each color. They would definitely be big enough for snap bars it's just a lot of people use the cheapest bags they can find. These are much nicer than what most people use.

There's a handful of like to try from Candle Cocoon, one being the elusive Vanilla Voodoo! I had never heard of CC or Vanilla Voodoo before I came to this forum. When I was thinking about scent names, being from Louisiana and New Orleans is famous for voodoo, that was going to be my vanilla name. That is - until I saw there was already that popular one out there. So I'll only get to use it if I decide to use that particular oil. I can live with that!

I'm in TN but am originally from New Orleans. I still have my accent.  The food is so good there.  I have the vanilla voodoo but don't like it much. It is like CS very vanilla. I have it too. I just use it as a mixer until I run out. I like BC Vanilla Extract.  I am working on a New Orleans line. King Cake, Strawberry Daiquiri, Magnolia, Pralines, Beignets are a few I'm doing. Not sure how many yet.

How would you describe coconut bay?

It smells like a very strong  coconut cracked open. It's like the juice hits you in the face. It is kind of like pink Sands but different. Pink Sands has a strong hit you in the face  too. It is not a wimpy coconut.

I've read enough about Maple Street to stay away. I think next on my list after Pure will be Sweetcakes, Candle Cocoon, and The Chemistry Store. They all have a different variety, so it'll be interesting! I already have my cart ready for the first 3 lol. After I hit those up, I'll re-evaluate and go from there after I see how many keepers I end up with. I'd like to have at least 20-25 amazing scents to go with before I open for business. I got my wax order in from Lone Star today, and the 4633 I got was the same as the original one I had got - not the soft one I got from Aztec. I'm VERY happy about that! But I know now that in the future it can still change.

Sweet Cakes has good fragrances. Mad always has good fragrances and so does muddy soap. The chemistry store does have great fragrances. Those are Leubermuth fragrances and they are top quality. A lot of people like candle cocoon but I don't find them very strong and impressive. I think it's a company you either love or hate. There's a smell in her fragrances that I do not like. You can usually tell where a fragrance is from after a while because they all have a certain undertone to them from different suppliers.

Yeah, I'm a little leary of ordering after reading a bit. I'm having so much trouble finding oils that'll last in my melts. My next order will be from Pure Fragrance Oils I think.

I don't use fragrances that don't last long. I do hear you on that because it's important that the melts last. If a fragrance doesn't perform properly I get rid of it because there are too many fragrances that work great. One of the fragrances that is a huge Powerhouse is from Bitter Creek and it's called Coconut Bay. A lot of coconuts are not strong but that one is super strong.

  16. I have bought Bulk Apothecary and Nature's Oils before second-hand. I know BA is a manufacturer so it's cheaper. Is it the same strength as Nature's Oils? The fragrances I bought were all great. Nature's Oils is a lot higher and offers "free shipping". Pure Seduction from BA is $38 plus shipping and from Nature's Oils is $59 "Free shipping". I don't fall for free shipping but I do love the Nature's Oils one a lot. I haven't tried the pure seduction from BA yet. Anyone know?

I hate Aztec. Maplestreet, Studio. I heard Midwest is weak. I haven't tried pure fragrance oils yet but plan to. WSP is strong. NG is too. I like  Fragrance Buddy, Keystone, Essentials by Catalina, Muddy Soap and others. Brambleberry is great. I get scared trying new companies but heard Batch Escentuals  is good. Nurture Soap is great. I hate Indigo.Flaming Candle has some I love but I don't find a lot of them super strong.  But their Honolulu Sun is great and cocoa butter Cashmere is too. Virginia stepped up their game and I'm finding winners there too. Natures oils is great but expensive.

I’m with you.  Time is the most expensive resource. You can’t buy or make more.

the Pink Zebra dots around us are just sprayed at a factory. Why not just scent and color wax that comes in

I did buy those little pastilles but the throw wasn't very good with them. I did like how little and cute the beads looked. But the throw wasn't there.

  19. I bought some silicone mats to try it out. It was actually pretty easy. You just take the scraper and move real fast to get all the holes filled. It was very fast and I laughed at how easy it actually is.
