  1. I did Use Cajun and at first they were great and then when I ordered a large batch they were the same exact beads as Aztec and lasted literally a day or two. I have Also ordered from other people who make them and feel like mine look and smell better! I’ve even walked around local craft shows to smell and look at other people’s fresheners and some of them smell awful! I just Don’t get it and i am Too impatient for candles lol so these are all i make But i do Plan on starting matching room sprays soon 🤷🏼‍♀️

  2. I havent Tried those. Yah it is a waste. That’s why i ordered 3 pounds to try from Cajun and was really happy. Then I placed An order for 25 pounds and they were different beads! Very disappointed and it is such a waste of money!!

What company do you recommend for the aroma beads ? I see Aztec has some bad reviews of these smelling like vinegar .

I talked to someone who makes plastic pellets and according to them they are supposed to smell this way. My problem with Aztec is they aren’t holding scent. Literally lasting a day in a car! Cajun must have switched to the same beads because my last order from them did the same! I emailed Them today and asked if they have switched their beads. I have No idea what is going on but i have Been having heck! There is one lady in my area who is having wild success with her fresheners but she won’t tell anyone where she’s getting her beads.

  5. Man, this has been driving Belinda and I crazy for months! We have both been having these issues and they just started. I think Cajun has recently changed beads because my Last order from there has been a huge flop and they are lasting literally a day. I really Like Bitter Creek but I recently had one of those melt in a customer’s car :( I am just lost. I order Strong scents and they just aren’t lasting. I don’t know What to do anymore. Belinda, i just Made a Black Ice with our regular old beads and just put it in the truck today and can’t smell it one bit!

If anyone else has any suggestions i would Love to hear them as well!

  6. I order Oils from both as well. But i wont Order oils from aroma beads online unless i order A lot. Her shipping is way too high! I was Going to order the other day and the shipping was more than my order!

  7. Yes I have ordered from all these places as well. My 2 favorites are Aroma beads online for smaller molds and some scents and for general larger molds i like Cajun. The last time i ordered From Aztec the scent didn’t last hardly at all once they were baked.

  8. Where does everyone order their aromabeads from? I use AromaBeads online (or their sister company Buy-it Ship-it) and Cajun Candle. I make Melts with mine for car fresheners.

Are there other places you are typically getting your scents?

I cannot help you with vanilla. For whatever reason I just can't pick that scent up in my sense of smell so I just have stayed away from it, unfortunately. I'd love a good strong true vanilla so I hope others will post.

I have Used lone star abs Aztec also

Like @pcbrook, I have aroma beads from BCN, and those babies hold fragrance FOREVER for me. I've used oils from BCN, NG, RE and Nurture, and they are super strong. But they were really strong fragrances to begin with, so maybe that's the issue? How long does it take for your beads to soak up the oil? I use anywhere from 15-25% oil to bead weight, and it takes a couple days at least to soak all that up. Maybe you're not using enough oil?

Or, maybe after you sit in your car a few times you just can't smell it anymore. Sometimes I won't smell mine until the car warms up and the hot air starts moving through it.

I can smell them when I directly smell the freshner but it is not throwing in the car.  I have also used Nature's Items FO and they are ok but nothing is lasting.  I let them soak and then cure for an additional 5 or so days...it is so frustrating because I cannot figure it out...maybe I just want them to last forever LOL

I have used aroma beads online and had no problems. I use fo's from CS, NG and aztec.  The scents last a good long time.  I have not used fo from Texas candle...How much FO are you using?  Have you tried fo's from any other supplier?

I have used LS and just now ordered from Aztec.  I usually use a 4:1 ratio and I make a pound at a time.  If I use too much oil, would that cause them not to smell?

  12. Hi everyone! I make Aroma bead air freshners and I am having some issues that i hope You can help me with.  I get my beads from aromabeadsonline.com (or their sister company). I use Oils from Texas Candle Supply. I cure in glass or HDPE plastic containers and let cure and extra 5 to 7 days after the beads are dry.  I use Metal cookie cutters and bake at 325 for 6-8 minutes.  I package In cellophane bags. For some reason, they are not having a good throw AT ALL once they are in the car.  What am i doing Wrong???  They smell great IN the bag, but once you take them out, the scent is VERY light, if they smell at all...I am racking My brain and i cannot Figure it out. I hope You guys can help me!
