Thank you for the feedback!  We also fill our cutters almost full.  Since our last post, we’ve had two more customers that contacted us with melted freshies.  One of them happened within hours of hanging in the car.  We will no longer be using PP4F for our aroma beads.  At first we thought it might be a fluke, but we have now discovered that multiple batches with different scents have melted.  It wasn’t from just one shipment of beads either.  One shipment was from March and another from May.  We have thousands of dollars in cured and dyed beads that we are afraid to use.  We suspect they all have the potential to melt.  We have spoken with Paul from PP4F twice and will be calling him again tomorrow.  Hopefully, we can get refunded for the defective beads.  We are taking a huge hit financially from this ordeal.  Not to mention, our company’s reputation is on the line.  We don’t mind spending more money to get a quality product.  We researched and read customer reviews for a significant amount of time prior to starting this business.

We just received our Cajun Candles aroma beads and started soaking those.  We will keep you guys updated and would still appreciate feedback if others are having a problem with melting.

I like cajun’s beads and Nature’s Garden. There’s got to be someplace we can order from like PP4F where we can get them in bulk! I also Find that Aztec’s beads do not hold a scent at all.

As far as I know I've only had one customer that's had one melt in their car while she was at the lake. How full do you fill your cutters? I've bought beads from Buy It Ship It, Cajun, NG, Aztec and PP4F and I've not had that happen. I'm in Southeast Texas so I would think we would have temps hot enough to do that. I sure hope something isn't going on. I fill mine pretty much full and make sure I have a good amount from the top to the hole in case it does get too hot. I hope you find out what's causing that and I hope it doesn't happen to you again. It is defiantly disheartening to have stuff like that happen.

I have Had some melt also and I’ve been using PP4F since he started carrying the beads and I’ve never had this happen. I’ve talked with Paul and we are going to do some research into it and some testing.

I defiantly think her beads are trash beads and don't hold scent and don't melt right in the middle for some reason. She had great beads until she switched and I ordered from her all the time before that.

As far as oils, I use from many suppliers. I do know that the stronger the FO the longer it'll last and also sometimes you can't smell it anymore in your vehicle but someone else can. I can also smell mine better when I'm sitting in the back seat at times. I think it's because the AC is blowing the scent back there.

What type of scents are you using? I know scents like leather are very popular here but to me leather isn't as strong as say Barbershop 1920's from RE or Black Ice from any supplier. I get requests for coconut scents but they're not strong in wax or any product in my opinion. Have you tried any masculine scents? Those are usually strong. I get mine from NG, LS, RE, FB, TCS, Aztec and a few other places.

I found A coconut that everyone loves from Aztec. It’s called Copper Coconut. I can Even double scent my PP4F beads with it because it soaks in so quickly and everyone loves the strong coconut scent

Belinda...do you think its the beads from Buy It Ship It or the fragrance oil that is making my freshies lose its scent?  Where are the best fragrance oils in your opinion?  I personally love The Flaming Candle and I've recently tried a few from Lone Star Candle Supply.  Of course I have purchased from a few other places but those stand out to me.

It’s definitely the beads. They will tell you it’s the oil but it’s not. Belinda and I have been round and round with that lady. She will hop on here soon and start talking about it. I like Oils from Flaming Candle, Texas Candle Supply (Leather and leather mixes), a few from Aztec and some from Lonestar. Lonestar’s don’t seem to be as strong as some of the others. I also Mix some of my own like naked Cowboy and cowgirl britches. I do Get one or two from candle science as well.

I've been making ornaments for about 6 months now and have regular business.  Everything has been going fine up until now....HELP!

Problem 1: I have dried & cured beads (at least a week) and they smell great in their 32oz mason jar.  My recipe is 1.5oz of FO (from LS, TCS & FC) to 12oz beads (from BuyItShipIt) and bake @ 330 for about 10-12 min.  I'm suddenly getting the report they are losing their scent after 2 weeks.  What am I doing wrong?

Problem 2: I purchased beads from PP4F and have mixed up about 25 jars of various scents on/around June 20th (same recipe above). The beads are still not completely dry (sticking/clumping together).  My only thought is I may be putting too many beads in the jar and not allowing them enough breathing room.  BUT...I never ran into this problem before!?!

    Suggestions??

I never Buy from Buy It Ship It anymore or Aromabeads Online because they don’t last. I buy From PP4F and never have any problems. What ratio are you using with your oils?

I wish I would have seen all of this before buying anything from aromabeadsonine.com, that woman is rude and very unprofessional. She did not send me all of my product in my first order so I asked her to send it in my second order, she not only did not put it in my second order, but she left something else out of my order as well and just gave me a store credit instead of sending it, so now I have to make a purchase of at least $15 in order to use my store credit and get my items!! I think I will take the $6 loss and call it a day! I will not be purchasing from her again. Do you have suggestions on where to get fragrances, dyes and beads, i want good beads, these beads I just got dont seem to be keeping the scent.

Lonestar candle has good scents and dyes. Bittercreek beads are good.

Where are you getting the leather scents from? I’ve tried a few from different sites and can’t find one I actually smell and like. Testing NG leather jacket today

I get Mine from Texas Candle Company.

  9. Yes, those do look nice Margie, but for me the scent lasted only a week, MAYBE two. Yes, I did all The things you suggested in your post and still the same results, PLUS they would never melt the same. The middle was never done and trust me, I played woth All heat and time settings. At some point you have to cut your losses because you are spending a MINT to get it right. I dont Have to do that with the company I use now And YES they do have FREE SHIPPING!

Belinda , I recently watched a video on you tube about aroma beads with the Soap Queen lady ,think this her name . Gosh I will have to go back & check . It  is not the bramble berry lady .She recommended aroma beads from Sentimental Gifts .She spoke very highly about the quality of these beads . I was interested in making car ornies ,so started watching videos & found this information. I thought maybe she is correct about the quality ,since reading poor reviews on so many other beads not performing so well. I have no knowledge of this company & was looking at their site today ,just thought I would let you know. I priced the uscented beads at 5lbs for $17.99 . They do offer different weights & prices on the beads . I am willing to pay a bit more for great quality . Oh this company also has fragrance oils lol... Sorry to enable on oils ,wanted to pass on the info I received about the beads to you. I may grab 5 lbs & give it a try . I also see this company has already scented beads as well. I did see a leather oil ,along with many more interesting fragrance oils. These run $2.75 an oz . I may have to order a few samples to check out the quality of their oils also. I think maybe this company may be worth a try on the beads ....Lol & may find some good fragrance oils .I may place an order to find out kwim :)

Did you ever order from them? If so, how did they work out?

Yes you hot it right ,oven temps vary so just keep your eye on them kwim. You can use glass jars as skk5233 suggested ,however I have switched my soaking to my polypropylene bags ,I find it much easier to blend the oils into the beads . I put the beads ,oil color etc into the bags ,tie them up & soak till dry . The oils soak up super fast & mine stay in the bags until ready to bake . It does not hurt to leave them for any length of time . I get great results .Make sure to use polypropylene if you are not going to use the glass jars .

I switched from jars bc I find it takes up less space during dry time as well .Hope this helps !

@katmeltswax where do you get your bags from?
