  1. I just finished up a show and had several people ask if I could find the terra cotta stones. They usually are round(ish) with designs on them and you just drop a few drops of oil on them and I'm looking for the type you can hang...at a wholesale price of course-lol. I can find retail approx $5 but can't locate at wholesale. Anyone have any ideas?

    TIA :yay:

  2. I never sold many tarts because they swere such a pain to package. Tried paraffin in tart molds, silicone molds, container wax in the foil cups - nothing was right. Then I started the clamshells. They didn't sell much better but I just kept at it. Now I sell them pretty well on website and at shows I can sell a hundred+ easily. 'Course a 4 for $ price helps sell the multiples at shows.

I also do the 1oz little black portion cups with my last bits of wax and just write the name on the lid. I bundle up about a dz and hand them out when you buy a tart warmer. Plus I bundle up a big bag for friends and family for $5. Just enough to pay for the costs and they get some treats.

  3. I'd be on that in a New York minute! I would be thrilled with a group retail space like that.

I have always thought it would be great to lease a strip center or an old Walmart store (the smaller ones) and start a working artists center. Lease space to work with a common sales area.

    Good luck!

  4. My name is a place name and not a place I am located in. I get very few hits on my site from searches on the location name alone; like one in a month. I had one couple who asked if I was from there as it is where they grew up and other than that no one has even questioned it (it is not a real well-known spot). It is just a relaxing place and brings a smile to my face so I went with it. If it makes you happy - go for it.

  5. I got my turkey fryer today! It came in a day early and I have it set up. I had to pour tonight so I just set it up at the end since I had clean off space for it and rearrange a little.

It melts soooo fast! Fast like the presto pot does...instead of an hour and a half like the roaster. I poured in some melted wax so the coils were covered, set it on 175 and in about 30 min it was all melted and I had filled it to the brim. Course it was time to call it quits but tomorrow I'm going to start using it.

Thanks for the push, I think I'm going to love it :yay: :yay: :yay:

  6. I don't understand this. Everywhere I shop the soy wax is significantly cheaper per lb. Am I just shopping at the right places? If so, yippee!

There was absolutely no chandlers what so ever. I figured it was because of the price of soy wax. In Illinois we are getting gouged big time. I usually use Millcreeks and I had to switch to Candle Cocoon/ Enchanted Lights because she was cheaper.
  7. I got a sample with an order this week and couldn't resist pouring a couple samples and a few tarts. I'm not sure if anyone would enjoy burning this scent but it sure smells like cornbread-lol. Maybe I should have poured a touch of maple syrup scent with it!

    Anyone else tried it yet?

  8. I would probably put them back in the boxes and then pack the boxes in a couple bigger boxes. You also have to pack them safely, not just cheaply. Without the boxes you will end up bubblewrapping each one and making sure they won't break against each other in shipping. A couple of oversize boxes are probably cheaper than 3-4 regular size.
