Hi: I bought in the drugstore some menthol crystal...planning to make a muscular balsam for my mother arthritis...and I will like to know if any one "knows" if the crystal melt in the hot oils...and if not, how can I handle to integrate them into a lotion bach? TIA, Wanda

TY...it may be waste of good oils and butters if I don't use it..you know...mango butter, shea butter, hemp oil, castor oil, babassu oil...etc..etc...and also five or six Vitamin E capsules...lets se how it goes...TY again!!!!

uhmmm...maybe that was the problem, even do it smell great....does it is ruin...a mean can it be used a least for me..or this oily look will remain?...or should i dump it?

Hi to everyone: Well, yesterday when I get home I found this disaster. Let me start , On Monday I did a batch of GMH soap. I start by freezing the milk (commercial one)...when I mixed it with the lye it became like trace...but I tough it was normal so I continue with the soaping process. When a completed the oil mixing process everything looks fine. That was on Monday afternoon. When I got home yesterday and I went to unmold my soap and it have this oil pool in the top. I pinch it with a knive thinking that it didn't saponified, but I found a solid soap under the oil pool...so I took off the oil (like an once) and unmold the soap...and now I have this very oily "soap" cuz it lather pretty nice and smell good (I scented it with Peak Blueberry Muffin)...so the question here is if anyone have an idea what happen and if it ruined?

Hi everyone here: I have done soap...but never candles and I'm so anxious to make some candle...but this weekend I buy from Walmart this candle from Glace which meant at the label to be a candle that will melt as a pool and will scent the room. I try one and it melt in about 3 hours leving this nice fragance at the room. Do anyone have done this...is this as a littler pillar?...TIA

Jodi: I received an order from Tropical Butter and the palm oil container came broke so I have that big mess on the pkg...incluiding that my postal office warning me about this, telling me that even do that was a non-hazardous material due to the appereance they considered it as hazardous and they made me sing a letter realising the pkg. I email Alisha (Tropical Butter) and she apologized and tell me that she will give another container of palm oil free-charge (which I haven't received yet)...but probably this things happens more often than I tough. Multiply the batch total by the percentage. Example: For a 32 onces batch (2 pounds) a 5% ingrediente 32 * .05 (5%) = 1.6 onz. HTH

What about Robin's tutorial...I think is great. Actually that tutorial was the one I used in my first batch manufacture.

I went to the drugs store at lunch time and found some oil that I have read..but don't remember for what???!!!. They were at the vitamins area and it was evening primorose oil and flax seed oil. The presentation was on capsule and maybe there were no so cheap...but I buy it just to try it. Could any one give ideas for usage of this oils? TIA

I found a shampoo bar recipe that ask for hemp oil. I don't have it. Does anyone knows a good sub fot it? TIA PD: Any good recipe for shampoo and condicioner for curly, extra dry hair?
