  1. Shipping has become a big cost factor to many in the forums. It's too bad we don't have a forum location or listing of all suppliers as we come across them who do use flat rate shipping and what their programs are in detail such as: WSP UPS ground $6.95 for up to $25 List exclusions when possible and always advise everyone to check with the site before ordering. Many companies are making their shipping center a profit center and if their quality, service, and mark up are fair, they shouldn't need to make a profit on shippimg. I know some like WSP and others don't. I've personaly have never bought from them. Of course, you still must always compare pricing, quality, and service. It's just a start to do something about shipping cost. Below is a program from USPS on their flat rate program effective !/20/07 Priority Mail® Features Expedited delivery of your packages at economical rates, starting at $4.05. Packages are delivered in an average of 2-3 days to any destination. Delivery to all U.S. addresses, including PO boxes and military addresses. Saturday and residential delivery are available at no additional charge.Delivery Confirmation™ is available at no additional cost when printing a shipping label online. Their flat rate boxes are free, and either box can hold up to 70#, ship anywhere in the US, for a fee of $8.10. Of course this is by air so there are restrictions. Flat rate boxes are $8.10 and are available in two convenient sizes, 11" x 8.5" x 5.5" and 13.625" x 11.875" x 3.375". Of course, junk, even if shipped free, is still junk, but if we start the list, I beleive many companies will want the recognition, and I think the combination of all the buying power in these forums represents a hugh powerful buying organization I'm not saying this is the solution, only a small answer to a big problem, but You shouldn't be required to buy in your state or the state next door due to shipping cost. Those companies with special low cost shipping programs deserve special recongnition. Just my HO.
  2. Hi everyone ! Does any know of a good concentrated base for creams or lotions, even a multibase, other than EL 1? It seems such a waste of shipping charges for liquids that could be added after it arrives. Thanks
  3. Anyone using EOs and willing to recommend a good supplier? Specifically looking for Ylang Ylang extra, and Patchouli. Thanks in advance
  4. Hi Every One ! I need to find a new supplier of Shea butter. I need one that is unrefined and processed without chemicals. Had one for 4 years who imported directly from West Ghana and it was always fresh and had a longer than 12 month shelve life, Unfortunately he closed shop at the end of the year. To any of you using Shea, I would appreciate any help in finding a new supplier. Thanks, Danny</p>
  5. I used them once last year. Prices were OK, but was only satisfied with 5 of 18 orderred EOs and FOs. Mostly it was their attitude I couldn't stand, and don't believe any of their dupes were even close. I only used them once, so maybe it was an off time, but I've learned to request samples before I use any new supplier amd almost all of the good suppliers will give them to you or sell them to you at a very low price. Hope this helps.
  6. Watch for the co-ops done in this group too. Butters are pretty frequent.
  7. Has anyone tried this ? What were your experiences ? Can you recommend a supplier that makes or distributes ? Thanks
  8. Orderred this past December and I feel they are overpriced and very under quality, but this just might have been my experience. To be safe request samples on all the ones your thinking of orderring. I didn't and now I'm sorry. It was December and know how rushed everyone was, but I think you can get a lot better quality for less money.
  9. Does anyone know of trade shows or expos where suppliers of fragrance, candle making supplies, bath and body supplies, perfume making, and packaging display their goods? I know there are several in New York and some in Florida, but I don't seem to be able to find them out west. It would seem worthwhile to spend a day or two at an expo, rather than taking months to evaluate samples. I know of day spa shows and packaging shows, but it also seems a lot of wasted time and cost to go to individual shows. Any help would be appreciated.
