I think I might have BC spiced cranberry. It might take me till tomorrow but I'll check.
Does her vanilla delicious smell like VBN? I think I may have had a 2 ounce bottle at one time but can't remember for sure.
Not to me . It just smells like a sweet vanilla to my nose .
nothing like VBN

I ordered a pound of Vanilla Delicious and I just don't care for it. Ive only used about an ounce + 1/2 . The oil must be heavy because the bottle was nowhere near full when I received it.
Ive only had it for about 3 months Im thinking , not very long. Anyhow, Im wanting BC Spiced Cranberry but it has a low FP so shipping would be expensive. If anyone has it and
would like to trade please let me know. You'd have to be a state near MI so it could ship ground USPS .

Darbla I make the same fabric softener for my clothes to put in with the wash. I use a combo of CS Lavender and CS Clean Cotton at 50/50% directly in my fabric softener. For a large half gallon container I add about 3-4 oz of FO or until it smells strong enough for me. I love this scent combo because it makes my clothes smell so fresh and clean. Some day I have to remember to buy the Gain FO. I think FB has it?
PS - it really does make my clothes smell fresh and clean even after they have gone through the dryer the scent still sticks. I don't have a problem with any dingyness. Maybe because the laundry detergent I make is a combo of Oxyclean, borax, and washing soda. I used to use soap shreds and those caused dingyness, but the Oxyclean works great and my clothes come out fluffy, stain free, and really clean. I had to start making my own laundry detergent because all of the commercial ones gave my horrible painful skin rashes.
Candy would you mind sharing the recipes for the detergent and softener . My family also gets skin
rashes I'd love to try these .
Happy thanksgiving 🍁

I've tried to scent homemade laundry soap with both EO's and FO's, but the scent never comes through the wash. As an alternative, if I want to freshen something up, I just spray a few pumps of my room spray into the dryer with the clothes and let it tumble a bit. That usually works pretty well. I use the air freshener/body spray base from The Candlemaker's Store. It's the best I've tried, and with the right FO it is a real powerhouse. My daughter loves it so much she just spritzes a little on her clothes when she puts them on in the morning. I also use sachets made with cellulose fiber and lavender FO.
What FO 's do you find have worked best with that base ?

Hi Gail. I personally haven't used ANY of Aztecs FO's. However, I asked a good friend of mine who has been making B&B products and wax melts for about 5 years.... She told me that the following are great in both B&B and wax products.
Blueberry Cobbler
Monkey Farts
Butt Naked
BRV
She also stated Birthday Cake isn't a realistic cake but it's good for what it is. More of a frosting vanilla type.
And then the Eucalyptus & Spearmint is okay it's just more heavy on Mint than Eucalyptus.
She was adamant about not getting their Love Spell (she knows my taste in FO) saying that it's definitely not a good one.
Anyways, I hope this helps you out a bit at least. 😇
Who's Love Spell do you use ? Ive only tried/used the one from CS.

Candy, I have really frizzy hair too, and I use a silicone serum on it every day, which really helps. Now, mine is also super thick, so I use dimethicone and coconut oil mixed with a little cyclomethicone, but if my hair was fine I'd try something like:
75% cyclomethicone
23% dimethicone
2% fractionated coconut oil
I put mine in a fine spray bottle, lightly mist my palms and run them through my dry hair.
Now, if you really want to go down the rabbit hole, I could share my style-prep anti-frizz serum recipe using a load of conditioning ingredients from Making Cosmetics. 😉
I love playing with hair products! Lol
Yes please Share away - this sounds awesome !

I've been making my conditioner from scratch for a couple of years now using BTMS 50. Someone has it pretty cheap... Bramble Berry, I think might be the best I've found, but I'll dig out my invoices and double check that.
It's sooooo easy, it emulsifies like a dream, I add a little coconut oil for my super frizzy hair, panthenol for damage (cause I blow dry and flat iron!) and rice protein. All those ingredients do double duty in my lotions too, so it's really cost effective. I make giant buckets of it at a time, because both my girls have super long hair and we go through a lot. The BTMS makes my hair so soft, and I really do have difficult hair!
You could make a very nice basic conditioner with water, BTMS, coconut oil, silk protein, and a preservative.
I could see how a base would be easier if you don't already have a stash of preservatives and proteins and such though. 🙂
Is this recipe on BB ? You described my hair to the T.... It would be for personal use + family. Thanks for sharing this. After years of color/highlights my hair has lost its
natural luster + is fuzzy unless I flat iron Can EO be added without it irritating the eyes ?

I've always loved a good sugar cookie scent - CS used to sell one that I couldn't keep in stock. It used to be one of my top holiday sellers from them - right behind Mistletoe. I just tested the Sugar Cookie Royale from Flaming Candle and it's got that same warm, welcoming sweetness to it. It doesn't smell plastic in wax. I'm wondering what would be fun to blend with it.
(Speaking of CS - their Bayberry is on Clearance and will be discontinued when they run out of stock - in case anyone has it in their holiday line up.)
I had the Sugar Cookie Royale from FB. I just thought it was ok. I got a plastic -y smell. I like the one from Peak, have you tried that one. One of these days I'll try Flamings.

Moonstar, who is the orange clove your talking about? Fillmore? Geesh let me go and check there as I didn't think CS had one...I love orange clove!
The one closest to an orange clove I have always loved is Community's Orange Peel and Cinnamon.
Trappeur
I have the one from WSP. Personally, I don't find it terribly strong so I add more Orange from American Organic Soy and I have a bottle of Red Clove from Peak that
lasts quite a long time because its very strong + a little goes a long way. I didn't have success with wicks, I think because of the clove maybe ???? so I just use it in
wax melts and use a small sliver of a orange peel + a few cloves on top of the wax melts. Looks so pretty + festive . I just went on Fillmore and the page is down
Wonder whats going on, unless they're doing inventory ? Bulk Apothecary has an Orange Clove. BTW the one I use from WSP is Orang Cinnamon Clove.

If your looking for a christmas pine that is not a sharp pine, Fillmore Christmas Tree is awesome. CS Frasier fir is great as is their mistletoe. If your looking for a cranberry
that is on the sweeter side CS Cranberry marmalade, to my nose its very similar to Peaks Cranapple marmalade. I prefer BC Spiced Cranberry . I think Orange Clove is
also a nice scent for over the holidays IMHO and Gingerbread Latte from Backwoods is also yummy. If you haven't tried Iced Lemon Biscotti from Fillmore get yourself
some, Im obsessed with it - so, so good.

Not sure what contact solution is ? room air freshener ???? Your right the ingredients do seem concerning to me, especially since I would think very young children
is the target market ??? Yes, it does look cool but Im be kinda worried about buying this stuff and a child getting a terrible skin reaction or not washing hands
throughly and then touching their eyes or mouth.
-
I just went on Instagram to check
it out. Interesting. So how exactly is this made . I noticed on a YouTube video that showed ingredients like glue - borax ?
The way many young kiddos
like to put things in their mouth
would worry me . Amazing to me
how some of the oddest things sell so well 😂😂

Up here in the Great White North (Canada) lol...we are very limited to suppliers. For us..to order from the US is expensive and takes time to receive the order. We do have a large fragrance supplier though and I do believe they do have a US location. Their FO's are inexpensive, but I find they seem to cater more to the Soaping crowd. Anybody tried New Directions Aromatics?
Ive ordered several times from New Directions. Ive ordered EO - FO and other supplies. Ive been very happy + loved the quality of the EO. The Peppermint
Supreme EO is outstanding, very nice ! They have outstanding prices on clays too if you make soap or facial scrubs
