  1. wax = c3 1 lb fo = 1 oz(weight) / 1 lb of wax dye = none wick = eco 12 container = 16 oz mason jar (regular mouth opening) melted and brought temp to 180* then added FO at 170* and poured at 150* jar was heated in oven, after pour jar was put back into cooling oven to cool. extra wax poured into clamshell molds. Any one see any problems or have any critiques for me? should FO's be done by weight or fluid ounces? how long should this cure before use?

  3. yes the dog is mine, but she is a boxer. you could totally do mead. It is just a few ingredients and a long time in the bottle. Wine is much more complicated. Or I should say lots more steps.
  4. it is alot of fun. and they dont all turn out good. lol but when they do it is an awesome feeling of accomplishent + a good batch of brew to drink or share with friends. I am hoping I will get that same feeling from making candles.
  5. that would be nice, but the licenses & permits for the wine/beer side for selling are terribly hard to get. would def. be nice though
  6. maybe it is a sign that the EO's are thinned out and not pure.
  7. Hi Candybee - I definitely wanted more scents, but I ordered from lonestar and have been reading that their fragrances are hit and miss. I would rather order those from another vendor w/ better reviews on those. I tried both the CD's & ECO's because they were recommended for soy. Hi Puma - I am super excited to get started. I have another hobby brewing beer/Meads/fruit wines which also is variable due to minute changes. I like the idea of calling the supplier w/ questions. Hi Tall Tayl - I like your methodology. I planned on pouring a few mason jars w/ wax & wick only to get a baseline, then adding scent. I would like to perfect one jar before moving on to another size/shape.
