    Some waxes just shrink less than others, during cooling. I think palm wax is one of those that people have trouble de-molding, because it doesn't shrink enough to pull away from the sides of the mold. If you're used to pure parrafin, it generally shrinks more than any other, if memory serves.

    I was 'visiting' a 'friend', when her hubby came home early. She had me hide in the closet, then forgot about me, FOR FOUR MONTHS ! Sheeeeesh.

    You may have trouble getting such pics. I think most of us carefully destroy all evidence of having made a candle that looks like it came from Wal-mart. I know I do.

    Wal-Mart has some frosted glass ones for $1 each. They fit a 3 inch well. You might try some place like Pottery Barn or whatever they're called, for those ceramic ones like you have in the picture.

    Not a real answer to your question, but one trick I use is to pour one vanilla candle and one unscented, wicking them the same, with my best guess, gives me a pretty good idea of where I'm at, with any new mold. Don't know if that helps, but iot's there.
