I have a venture one card (I suggest getting one, they're free!) and I ship everything within Canada with the expedited service (you can only get it as a venture one customer) It includes up to $100 insurance. BUT beware that insurance doesnt cover broken glass. And If you put a fragile sticker on your box, they WILL play football with it.

I use 50% oo in my soaps and with a water discount they're pretty hard the next day!

converting a % to an oz depends on the size of your recipe. Say you're using a 2lb recipe then that's 32oz. 25% of 32oz is 8oz (32 x 0.25 = 8) hth!

I repour the next day. Less shrinkage that way.

I dont do it for any look, I just do it if it'll make my candle burn better.

The size of the wick depends on the diameter of the candle, the type of wax and the fragrance oil. I look at wick charts to give me a starting point.

Personally If I have a wick that I dont know the exact size of, I dont use it. If it burns perfectly you wont know what size wick to buy more of, so it's useless IMO.

I just wipe out with paper towel while the wax is still liquid. Sometimes I still have a tiny bit of wax residue left, but it never affects the next batch.

Sadly you cant just set up a website and expect tons of sales to be rolling in. You need to promote your site. Have you done any advertising? Passed out lots of business cards etc? (Most) websites take awhile to get the kind of traffic you're already getting, so that is one positive. I wasnt getting that much traffic in my first month!

I will say though, on your front page, you have a LOT of writing. So much that I didnt even bother to read it. Also the links at the very bottom aren't lined up well. They're all so close together it would be impossible to find what you're looking for. hth

I got a bunch of orders at work on Friday that I have to fill. I've poured some apoths in Black Raspberry Vanilla and Pink Sugar. I've also made some votives and tarts in Black Raspberry Vanilla and Key Lime. I'm loving these!

I do a water discount w/ all of my soaps (including peppermint eo) it doesnt speed anything up!

I'm pretty sure what you're doing is making infusions, not Essential oils.

I have some from agbanga right now and I'm really liking it so far. I've never tried it from anywhere else.

I pour my containers (4786) around 170-175. I do poke relief holes and I dont repour until it's completely cooled. That way I only have to do one repour.

I dont think you can add anything to make m&p a liquid soap unless you want to get into preservatives, and even that just seems really difficult.

Why not just buy a liquid soap base?

Using "I just started making" and "I have been selling" in the same paragraph doesnt sound very good. I'd suggest before you sell anymore that you perfect what you are making. You dont want to start selling a product that could hurt someone. As for your lotion price, for a handmade lotion with quality ingredients i'd say your price is too low.

what kind of wax are you using? what temps are you pouring at? are you adding scent?

I've done this with kids before. What I did was made multi-coloured chunks of unscented wax, and each kid got a votive mold (or you could use dixie cups) I used wick pins, then had them fill their molds with the wax chunks and just overpoured with white scented wax (everyone got the same scent). It's worked well for me!

emulsified means it has water and emulsifiers in it (emulsifiers are what allow oil to bind with water) most of us on here when we refer to body butters it's JUST oils and butters. An emulsified body butter is more like a lotion.

I'm not sure of the one you're talking about, but it's probably an emulsified body butter.
