You can't add as much fragrance as you want, you can add as much fragrance as the wax you're using can hold. If you add more than the wax can hold, it'll just seep out and make oily, sticky wax melts. What kind of wax do you use?

Hehe.. you're right Funky Monkey.. this will actually be her label. The empty space on it will be used to add her product info!
AHhh that makes more sense... I was thinking along the same lines as Funky Monkey!

I made a new soap today! It's an awesome eo blend I made up (eucalyptus, peppermint, lemon & wintergreen) and I did my first 2 colour swirl! (blue & green) I cant wait to cut it tomorrow!

I think the wire brush suggestion would be a good one! You could do straight lines or criss-cross or anything!

If the only ingredients truly are sweet almond oil & fo, you could use it in m&p. I wouldnt go over 1tbsp pp. As for tarts, I wouldn't because of the sweet almond.
Why not just buy the fo? Then you dont have to worry about it being diluted, & can use it in candles as well!
8 places are listed as having it in the fragrance finder... here's the link to the W's.

I wait until the next day to do my repour, then I only have to do one!

Awesome!!! It's such an awesome feeling isnt it?
Now you have to fight wanting to soap constantly haha!

I made my first batch in a 3lb log mold that I had made for me.

You could just take any recipe you like and replace the water with the apple cider!

$1 CAD for a 1oz parafin tart.

I charge $12 (CAD) each for that size, just regular pillars. (Pillars in general dont sell well here though)

I've got a show this weekend as well. A quilt & craft show an hour & 15 mins from home (I've never gone that far for a show!) I've heard good things about it from a vendor who's done it in the past (selling other items) So I really hope it's good for me as well!
Good luck Robin & others with shows!

VCC is awesome! I went to their candlemaking retreat this year and I'll definitely be going back! Great people and awesome products!
-
Take as much as you can! I never now from one show to the next what is going to sell. Last show it was Black Cherry! Who knows what they will be buying this weekend!
Ditto! I bring as much as I can fit in my car, and the scents that sell really do vary from show to show. Good luck!!!

The only description for the stress free fo from mms is
"Chamomile has been know for years for its soothing nature. We now have a fragrance oil that captures that mood and feeling. Use our Stress-Free fragrance oil when you want the world to slow down and turn at a much slower pace."
So does it smell like chamomile? Has anyone tried it that could give a bit of a breakdown of the scent?
Thanks!

That sounds awesome Tasha! What a great mix!

I dont mind labelling candles too much, I find it goes quickly. It's soap that I cant stand labelling... so much more work!
-
Wow you're really on a roll Jenny!! Looks good!
-
I use flat ply wicks in that wax.

I would think that different suppliers would have different dyes.
Personally I use Peaks liquid dyes and their black is awesome! I was able to get a true black using it.

The one I was talking about that I didnt get into, there was a $25 jury fee. You sent that in with your pictures, biography, etc (big show!) and then you didnt send in your booth fee until you were accepted. I've always thought jury fees werent refunded, weird to hear that some are!
-
No, you dont get the jury fee back if you're not accepted. That fee goes to paying the jury (at least at the shows I do)
UV Inhibitor

Yep UV inhibitor does help, but doesnt completely stop the fading. If you leave a candle in a window, over time it will still fade.
