I've made these before using M&P. After a while the colors bled into one another into a grayish blob, so I stopped experimenting. It really is hard to make them look realistic.

Let us know what you find out. I just got some of their shea and it is wonderful. I really like that they use fair trade practices.

Please do test, especially with C-3. I started with this wax and there are a LOT of fragrances that just do not throw in it - it can be very picky.

Sweetcakes has a Nutcracker fragrance.

F & M in general is a very heavy oil and almost always has to be wicked way up, like 2-3 sizes. hth

I've only used one of their scents for wax (Pikaki Lani in 100% soy) and it was very strong both hot & cold.

I've been trying out the Ginger Krumkake from The Scent Works and LOVING it so far! Very strong & very buttery, not too spicy...YUM!!!

Beeswax burns very, very hot and is not suitable in large amounts in containers, IMO. That being said, you would need something like a large square braid wick to burn in this container and would most likely need double wicks. BTW, none of the wick manufacturers I know of sell lead wicks anymore.

Another Jar Store customer here...they ship very quickly & the jars are packaged securely, and this last time they even sent free warning labels with my order. Oh, and yes - a "master carton" is one case of jars.

IMO their Sage & Citrus is absolutely a dead-on dupe of Yank's. And yes, their oils are definitely worth the $$$!

Sadly, I am not surprised. I watched her selection of oils dwindle drastically over the last year and knew something was going to happen. I hope someone (Bittercreek, perhaps?) will buy her formulas and offer the oils for sale once again.

I personally would contact paypal if you paid that way, file a dispute with them and ebay. You have nothing to loose. She may not have said that it was a smoke house. But she didn't say it was either. IMO I think that is considered to have with held information she should have shared. What if you were highly allergic and had a really bad reaction.... I would give it a try, you have nothing to loose.

IMO this would only be valid for a dispute if the seller stated they were kept in a smoke free environment and then the buyer received them smelling of smoke. If someone is highly allergic to something they should always check with the seller before purchasing items from an auction site (or anywhere, for that matter).

You have to PM Brenda at Green Leaf with the date you purchased the wax. She'd be able to tell you which batch it came from. HTH!

Has anyone tried this in wax yet? Is it as yummy as it sounds on the website? Her sampler packs cost me $28.50 with shipping, tax, insurance, and packaging fees, so I don't want to order it if it is "just another" vanilla. TIA!

To my nose, it's definitely a buttery vanilla. It's wonderful!

I have several samples of their soap but have not tried them (I've got waaaay too much soap laying around!) They add all kinds of weird stuff to their soap - figs, bananas, yogurt, etc. I bet that's what they are referring to in their statement.

I have SW Mysore Sandalwood that smells very much like sandalwood EO, however I cannot vouch for its performance in wax.

I believe that's all there is to it, but there are a lot of animal products to consider (milk, beeswax, honey, etc.). Also for the sake of my own ethics I do not list products as vegan unless I know the raw materials I'm using have not been tested on animals by the manufacturer.
