  1. I have been working with a cleansing balm. I prefer more of a solid consistency, as opposed to an oil. So I have been playing with Cera Bellina, Shea butter, Avocado and Organic Sunflower oils. This is really "ointment-y", I may add a little Polysorbate 20.
  2. Hi. I also love Janet from Creative gems molds, but just went to her website, and it is no longer available. I knew she had some surgery a while ago. I hope she is well. Does anyone know? TIA, Ann
  3. I have found that liquid soaps are a little more drying, especially at first, but seem to mellow out after a week or two. Ann
  4. I have only used SC's Coconut and Lemongrass. I have done lotions, soap, and candles with it, and it is a big fave. HTH, Ann
  5. I don't think soy would be a good choice, either. You need a nice, hard, translucent wax, with a high mp. Ann
  6. Thanks. I've been reading, and reading, I guess now it's time to take the plunge. Reminds me of the first time I did CP soap. Ann
  7. Hi, I have been lurking for a while, and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Ann, I do make soap and BB products, I make hurricane, and container candles, but I have never done gel candles. My youngest son has been dying to try them, so here I am. I'm just reading all of the posts to try to get familiar before I start. Ann
