  9. Well, I attempted to make cphp(I think thats the right abbr for crock pot soap)..anywho-I was following the directions & pics to a t & THEN (drum roll)...it came to trace & then it said it would come to a really thick trace and then would seperate again..well, it didnt go to the really really thick trace..Did I not stir it enough?? Then we got the applesauce stage then the thick potatoes..It then said you could turn it off, take it off the base and then stir..well I put a towel on the table, grabbed the potholders, took it out of the base, placed on table and started stirring...and WOW-I thought it was MT St helens!!! it seemed like the more I stirred the more came pouring out of the pot..What did I do wrong???? It didnt mention that in the directions.. I can laugh at this now but at the time I was like holy cats :shocked2: ...I finally got it all settled down again & put into my mold...time shall tell what it will turn out like...Could it be lye heavy?? if you need me to post recipe I can..PLEASE HELP..TIA Tammy
  10. I really could use the info too please!!! Thanks-Tammy
  11. I have seen this formulation on the boards a few times..L x W x H x ? Once I saw you multiply by 3.8 and another time by 4..Which is right? Or is there a certain way to figure out the last number?? I am going to attempt my first batch of hpop & I just want to make sure that I get all the calculations right..I got one of those drawer organizers 12 x 3 x 2. I thought about trying that since I want to make a smaller batch first..I also read that you can use like a cardboard box is this right?? I have a more slab box 7 x 7 x 6..which is easier for starting out?? I chose to do the hpop first cuz i dont think I will be able to wait that long to see if my first attempt worked or not..I am so excited!! Thanks for any info!! Tammy
  12. When you add butters do you weigh them in the solid form or would you melt them & then weigh them?? any help would be appreciated..TIA Tammy
