  1. I got some J50, made one with 9% Home for the Holidays adding 1/4 tsp per lb vybar 260 and 1 oz per lb Crisco, and it had an awesome hot throw! Unfortunately, it costs ab $1.50 per lb plus shipping, where MC soy is $1.00 per lb with shipping in. So I'm torn between great throw or smaller cost.

Do you have to use vybar with this wax? I thought it was pre-blended. What is the Crisco for? I'm new, but that just sounds strange:confused:

  2. I use this wax and love it. A 44z works perfectly in my JJ. I don't get wax hangup on the sides, and if I get a little, it cleans up further down the jar when the sides get hot. I rarely wick up in the JJ to be honest.

Thank you so much. Where is the best place to buy wicks?

I'm trying to do research but getting frustrated. Shipping seems

astronomical. I'm thinking about making my own. Crap... something

    else to research:o

  3. Hi. I'm a newbie too. I just posted a topic on this yesterday. I got the advice that starter kits can be good to get your feet wet and figure out what you want to do. I wanted to make container candles and just ordered a starter kit from Peak. It was about $60 including shipping. Has everything you need except a scale(I'm too new to even know if I need one) I just ordered it today. I'll be back to post how everything goes with my first candle EVER:D

  4. Hello everyone,

I was wondering if ya'll would share your experience of sales with your website and online advertising. How much set up cost, advertising versus sales. I'm just curious, not trying to be nosey.

I'm thinking about selling on ebay. Advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Trisha

  5. Hello everyone

I'm trying to do some research before beginning my candle making journey. I want to save myself time, energy and money! Can someone please tell me what the difference is between flakes, pelets and solid bulk wax. What is the best and easiest to work with? Also the difference in paraffin and soy.

    Thank you
