  1. I have a shop in town looking for these flowerpot-shaped votives.  All I have ever found are flowerpot silicon molds which cost approximately $9 each and make one votive.  Is there a way to pour them in the glass votive holder and then pop them out?   My other alternative is to pour and sell them as is--in the glass holder--I guess.

Has anyone been able to get through to Tennessee Candle.  I have been trying but the phone just rings and rings with no answering service.

I can't even get on their website now.  It shows that their domain name has expired, so we can't even get on the site.

What telephone number should I be calling?  I've tried the 423-753-6920.

Are you using this link?  I'm not ordering, but I can get into the website.  http://www.tennesseecandlesoapsupplies.com/

  3. This is a half-pint canning jar that I want to start selling but am concerned with the amount of wax remaining after the wick is down to the metal clip.  I'm thinking customers would feel they aren't getting their money's worth since it looks like 1/5 of the jar has to be thrown.  My warning label says "discontinue use when 1/2". . .remains" which is about what this is.  In a pint jar, 1/2" doesn't look as bad as in this little guy.  Is this how yours look?  If so, you get negative feedback from customers?

  4. I switched to a blend of two waxes.  My tarts are sold out of glass jars, and the glass would get messed up from the tarts which bothered me.  Not sure how you could efficiently package them without this happening.

  5. I look forward to hearing what others have found to be great spring-summer scents as I am also starting to test my samples.  So far, I get a really strong throw from Peak's Cucumber/Cantaloupe.  It smells just like McCall's Honeydew to me which I use to always burn in the warmer months.  Two others I tested, I couldn't stand the smell of--Daffodil and Lavender/Rose.  Can't remember what company they are from.  TruScent has a Iced Lemon Biscotti that I'm testing next.

  6. I'm a bit confused by a few of your responses and want to make sure I'm understanding you:  When you add your FO at 185 then stir for whatever amount of time, don't you wait until the wax cools down before pouring in your jar or mold?  It sounds like some are pouring into final container as soon as they are done stirring in the FO.  Certainly not saying that is wrong, just wondering. :)

  7. For the ones that use wood anything... Do you ever have a problem with scent cross contamination (for lack of a better phrase) ?

I use paint stir sticks, a different one for each scent.  Mark the stick with scent name and reuse each time I pour so I keep scents from mixing.  Probably not needed, but then I stir for full 2 minutes as well.

  8. The shop I worked with kept the empty bottles from used essential oils in a small basket. Customers still get to smell them. Course, some of those disappeared once in awhile. :( If it were me, I would have a small plastic display box; either open at the back, or put upside down on the bottles, or locked. Can't sell the opened ones which is a big loss.
