  1. It burns normal. It's just granulated wax.
  2. Another very popular option is Square Register: https://squareup.com/register They'll send you a free card swipe dongle for your phone/tablet.
  3. I picked up a couple of these a month or so ago. They had a bunch on clearance for $3 each. I don't know if they heated the top to melt the beads or if they poured a melted layer over the top of them. Either way it keeps the beads from spilling out during handling. Using beads I guess is a good way to differentiate from competitors for marketing purposes. I don't know if they are cheaper to produce also. Both candles I picked up had great cold throw. I can't remember what the first scent I burned was, but it had good hot throw too. I haven't burned the one in the pictures yet. It smells like mangos I think.
  4. If it was made out of HDPE then it wouldn't be all broken, cracked, and dinged up like you can see in the other photo. HDPE is fairly tough. I could be completely off base, but I actually thought Handmade was asking about where he/she can find a mold to make this thing out of wax. I could most definitely be wrong.
  5. I spent a couple years living in Washingtonville, NY(worked for a company based there), but I'm back in Maine now.
  6. You can use a heat gun or even just a blow dryer to smooth the top out.
  7. Unfortunately, my girlfriend has a slight addiction to these. She may be trying to send me a signals ("buy me a real ring aleady!"). She has purchased about a half dozen so far over the past few months. Diamond Candles runs promotions often on sites like Groupon and DealChicken, which keeps them expensive, but not as expensive as on their own website. If you buy them through their website they are $25 plus shipping ($5 for one candle, shipping becomes a better deal when you buy more). If you get a deal through one of the third-party deal sites, then the candle ends up to be about $15-$20 with shipping. All the candles so far have come with the costume jewelry rings. The rings aren't ugly, but they aren't that great looking either. The candles are a decent size at 21oz. They are soy and are loaded with fragrance. They could probably downsize their wick a little bit, but they burn pretty decent. The wax does burn kind of odd though. Maybe it's because of the amount of FO. It's kind of hard to describe. It leaves a residue on the inside of the jar as it burns down and leaves little bubbles in the wax after you burn it for a while. You can see a few example of this on their own website. http://photos.diamondcandles.com/
  8. I'm curious also. I wonder if it would produce some good crackling?
