  1. I don't know what they told you but I've never heard such a thing about them.

I suggest you to go somewhere else possibly to find wax, EAC is really expensive wax wise, along with their FO's. I only had luck with 2 of their FO's working and I ended up droping them because they didn't sell.

NG, ships really fast I usually get my stuff usually 2-3 days later depending when I order it. Shipping is cheap. Their in Ohio.

Candles and Supplies is in PA they have wax and it's decent priced. They also have a nice list of FO's some are hit and miss.

Backwoods is in PA, wax is decent priced and their FO's are good.

Shipping not bad at all just like NG.

There are alot of other places that aren't around PA that have great FO's it just takes longer to ship. Like for instance Suppliers in Texas, it takes 5 days for me to get my supplies. So I tend not to order from them in case I would run out of something.

Wax wise I don't know I use soy, but I have tested Joy wax from NG and 6006 wax. Both were really nice waxes.

  2. This is coming from a mother of boys but I do have teenage neices.

You should name it " Whatever" cause that's their favorite word, lol.

  3. Like the other poster, I don't see it as selling myself I see it as selling my product.

I really don't say much unless they look indecisive and I ask what type of scents do they like. Once they tell me I pick up quite a few and hand the tarts to them to sniff. I love when they ask what my favorite is, I always pick the one that isn't selling well. It never fails I end up having to make more of that scent because the customers end up loving it.

Just make sure your display is neat, prices are noticable, look busy, answer questions and sell your candles.

A few places to look for shows are churches, fire halls, and community centers. Also if you have to go to the next town to go to a show definitly try it.

  4. I had a church craft show today and I only made $63 (that's not including the warmers), but I only had melts with me and warmers. I probably would of made more If I would of made jar candles. Last year nobody wanted them but this year I had people ask for them.

And I spent $48 there, lol.

There was this lady who made fall/halloween shirts they were soooo cute, that I couldn't pass them up. So I bought one each for my boys and one for me to wear to the corn maze thing next weekend. They have a scarecrow face on them, they are adorable.

And I bought a hand made bear it's nice for the boys to share. It cost $20. My oldest was with me and wouldn't stop hounding me for it. That was a first for me, I've never spent more than $10 on a stuffed animal.

I also got the cat (Shawn aka Meow Meow) something to, I traded a lady 10 tarts for a cat house with toys on it, HE LOVES IT. I think I got the better deal on that though.

Hopefully next week will be better.

  5. I didn't know where to put this thread, but I'm trying to come up with some names for my candles that are country/primitiveish.

I'm having a major brain fart and can't come up with any other than Hearth.

I have a show this Saturday and I want to come up with at least 25 different names.

I'll be taking Fall Scents like Sugar Cookie, Apple Crisp, Cornucopia, Cinnamon Roll, Harvest , etc....

Any help would be much appreciated,

    Mindy
