At craft fairs I have a tester station set up with a bottle of each lotion and/or body butter in each scent that I am selling at that time.
For my lotions, since I don't use pumps, I put a pump on each tester and I actually assist the customers with body butter samples by scooping a small amount onto a popsicle stick. I also do the same for lip balms. I place a small amount on the stick and the customer puts it on their lips using their finger. this has worked for me for quite some time.
As for giving out samples, I only give out free samples of soaps at craft fairs. I normally have many baskets of those already packaged in a glassine bag, labeled with scent, ingredients and where to buy. HTH

Sorry, I'll send you both a PM. She's here on CT and to be honest, I may have her ID wrong.
thanks Grumpy

i tried searching the board for this, but am not sure if i used the right terms to search. anyways, i would like to know, does everyone tend to make their moisturizers in the same scents as their soaps?

I have the Madagascar and really like it! It turned my M&P soap slightly brown. Body butter is a great idea!
I also have Bladderwrack. I like it but DB didn't like it so much, and he is more into EOs than I could ever be.
glad to hear positive feedback on the madasgar. it took me a while when i place my order on which two to settle on.

for 4 days that's pretty cheap, about $55 a day.

i received the Honey Almond and Madagascar blends yesterday. The Honey Almond is kinda bitter/sweet so I am not sure how it will perform in the product. I really like the Madagascar, plan to use it in a body butter

If you could only have one, which would it be emulisified body butter or lotion?
-
I love the emulsified butters. They are not greasy and do not separate. I have stopped making straight butters completely. There are some recipes in the recipe section.
e
i am with you on this one. for me my butters, tend to separate after time especially during the hot months/

has anyone seen these any place other than Paper Mart. They have them available in a larger qty, but I don't need that many. According to their CS, they will be back in stock in early November and I need them before then
