  1. Need some help, very confused...(what else is new...lol) Anyway, I have incorporated ABS into one of my batches. When I list my ingredients, do I say African Black Soap or do I list each ingredient in African Black Soap? Looking at the MSDS sheet from AK, the ingredients are

Saponified Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii or Vitellaria paradoxa) and Virgin palm kernel oil

    TIA

  2. I have a ProPay Premium account and it does a good job for me. ProPay sent me an email to let me know my account was activated after they received my check, seems like it was under a week.

After I return home from a show is usually when I process my transactions as this works for me, I have had 1 declined transaction, so I do have advice about that.

Make Sure you see a drivers licence that matches the CC. Make sure you get that 3 digit security # on the back of the card and the exp. Make sure you get the customers address correct including the zip, and ask if the billing address is the same address as the billing statement. I now make a note of the financial institution the card is from, my decline could have been saved with this info and my sleuthing. I always get a signed copy and run it thru a knuckel buster, available on ebay.

You can process at a show via phone if you have a cell, I don't bother with it that way.

I have the funds deposited in a MC that they provide, that way no more of my personal info is floating around. You can use the MC until it is empty just like a CC and I have only found 1 place that could not get the card to work.

And yes, I think customers buy more when they use them.

    HTH's...OH Cathy

i was just doing research on this very issue. after combing through their site, it appears they only require the cc#, amount, exp.date, and zip code. do we have to collect the address, and cvv#?

  3. I would suggest trying Lindsay's (Soaper's Workshop) bases. She offers them with your choice of preservative, one of which is paraben-free. I don't think it feels like BCN's, but it is great and stands on it's own. She has several to choose from and you can get a 2oz sample of each, or design your own custom lotion. I have gotten great response with the Shea Butter base. I'm sure you would find something you like. :D

Thanks. I thought of her after i hit the submit button. I pm'd her so I will wait to hear back from here

  4. Okay, I know I am probably reaching here, but I thought I would give it a shot to see. I have used the BCN lotion base for a while now and my customers love it. However, the majority of them are getting savvy with ingredients and are seeking products that have no parabens. Therefore, my question is, does anyone know of a base that is comparable to BCN and is paraben-FREE!

    TIA

  5. I was gonna post that I've never seen the sage green boxes on Kangaroo Blue.........Scent Works is the only place I've ever seen them.

you know that is funny b/c Scent Works is the one and only place I have seen the sage boxes.
