  1. Isn't it kinda funny how you can order 10 lbs of fo but the first thing you do is dig through the box looking for that little 1 oz sample:D Or at least I do. There is just something about those freebies that bring out the kid in me.

The first time I ordered from Majestic Mountain Sage they sent 10 oval plastic bottles with trigger spray head ( perfect for room spray ) as a free sample and even though they are in Utah and I'm in FL I continue to order from them ( they do have great products and I love their EO's )

Getting a .3 oz sample from a supplier when you spend alot of money would irritate the Pi$$ out of me. Everyone knows that you can't judge an fo until it hits the wax ( or soap )

I used to get great samples from MMS, I think my last three orders nothing, and they were $80-100-ish orders

  2. it was their "policy" not to tell people when something they ordered was oos; they didn't have the "manpower" for that. They'll never be a major player at this rate and no matter how good their damn peach oil might have been, they'll never see another cent of my $$.:angry2:

That is not good. I'd be mad too. Most suppliers put right on their website if something is out of stock. Thanks for the warning.

  3. Personally my first pour goes just go where the cup starts to bend out on top. I find about 1/2 an hour on the second pour is about right but you'll have to test to see, room temp, pour temp, etc can affect your outcome. Don't forget to poke relief holes.

Forgot to mention, mine are soy--I saw the KY in your post and just thought soy for some reason.

  4. Is your print scale set to 100%? You can also check your margins. I always stretch my work to the end of the page. Hope this has been helpful.

I'm not sure, I've tried looking every which way to fix things before posting and have just been making labels that don't need color to the edges but it is really limiting me. Where do you check print scale and margins?

  5. And I guess those "little pockets of scented oil" they are refering to that you can see through the jar must be the those "WET SPOTS":laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: Give me a break! Dang, they must have to work REALLY hard to get all those "little pockets of scented oil" in there,,,,,,,,,ROFLMAO Portia

yeah, those are totally wet spots, jeesh

  6. How long should you wait till you do a repour on votives? I am using KY votive/pillar blend. And then how long do you let them set up? I don't fill mine to the top on the first pour only about 3/4 full. Is this right? I figure if I have to do a repour anyway why make a big mess with an over full mold?

  7. I had one FO that went bad and I knew it was bad immediately. My FOs are two years or less old, but as soon as I poured this one (it was an opaque bottle), I could tell somethint wasn't right. It was thick and milky and it wasn't that way before. I knew it wasn't right and threw it out. In two years that is the only one. I make sure to buy in quantities now that I can use in a year or less just to be safe.

  8. On the Harmony blend--some wicks burn hotter than others making them better suited for some types of wax but not others. I like CD for soy and mostly soy based blends as it burns pretty hot (not as hot as cotton though). Some waxes I tried CDs in sooted no matter what, especially the 50/50 blends. Other types of wicks worked much better. Zinc and LX are two that come to mind you may want to try. Good luck. :)
