  1. These are my new jars I am testing. I am trying to upscale my jars. Thanks for looking
  2. I started looking and couldn't find anything but try searching on box partitions, maybe you will have more luck with it than I did!!!!
  3. Has she actually sold to stores based on the fact she is representing herself as you? I would also call that theft of business income if she has. Maybe you could also collect info from store owners or whoever she has represented herself as you, brochures, letters, etc. Maybe you could call a lawyer, some offer free consultations, or even if it costs you $100.00 and they could send advise you. Maybe they could even send her a letter and that might deter her.
  4. OMG I just love living in the sauna of the USA...clothes sticking to you when you walk outside, sweating your a$$ off..... Thanks for letting me know they will be safe during the summer months
  5. Seeing I live in a very humid part of the country (which I totally hate!!!) I know this affects making bath bombs. My question is, if I make the bombs now and shrink wrap them, will they hold up thru the summer without exploding? I just don't want to go gung ho now and them have them not last. Thanks
  6. Hey Bug--I like your idea better!!!
  7. Maybe you could put wax on a cookie sheet, cut into chunks similar to what you would do to make chunks for a candle. You could cut them larger than for a candle but less than a tart. Not too sure how to package them though
  8. Not that I am anywhere close to this point yet, I was thinking of something like this: Take out tax amount then divide the balance into thirds with one third going for replacement cost, one third going for expansion of products and the other third is what I keep for myself. But somehow it never works out that way...LOL
  9. Contact the NYS Attorney General and see what they can do. Maybe if enough people complain, they might be able to do something. Just a thought...
  10. I just came across this formula for pricing out drops, tsp and tbsp when figuring out your base cost of making something. 1) Figure out price per ounce 2) For drops...divide price per ounce by 600 3) For tsp...multiply price per drop by 100 4) For tbsp...multiply price per drop by 300 So for a fragrance that costs 13.95 for 16 oz: Per ounce cost = $0.87 Per drop cost = $0.0015 Per tsp cost = $0.15 Per tbsp cost = $0.44 Thought this might help someone out
  11. Wow, that is absolutely stunning!!!
  12. Cool, you learn something new everyday. Thanks
  13. Thanks for the help, guess I will just have to experiment
  14. OK, I am going to try my hand at sugar scrubs and was wondering if there is a difference using white or brown sugar. Are these interchangable or do you need to follow what is in the recipe? TIA
  15. Probably what it is, I think it was in either Michaels or AC Moore in the bead section
  16. A jewelery crimper also works. I got mine at I think Michaels and it was not that expensive
  17. FYI, I don't think that Bob Sherman is there anymore. I get their newsletter and now it is some guy named David Fisher if that helps you any
  18. Thanks so much everyone. I want to thank everyone who posted on how they do their rustic candles which really helped me tremendously!!! My goal is to create rustics as beautiful as Tanya!!! Hopefully someday......
  19. This is my first attempt at a pillar. Wanted to try a rustic look. Still need to work on the technique but am pretty pleased with the results.
  20. If you are a sole proprietor, you file your schedle C along with your personal income taxes and can just use your social security number.
  21. I was also thinking of something like that, maybe selling a starter kit and try to recoup some money and the store does not have to make a large initial investment. That is about as far as I got with that idea so far LOL! Maybe after the first I will think some more
  22. Thanks all. It was J50 wax and the whipped wax was also J50. Got the mug at Big Lots for $.99 The mug must have been a little cool when I poured it for it to separate from the sides. To whip the wax till it looked like very thick frosting and put a couple of glops on with a fork. That was it!!!
  23. This is the first time I got "creative" making candles. Not as artistic as others of the board but this is from one of the most uncreative people LOL!
