I am contemplating using soap boxes for my soap packaging.
For those of you using boxes, do you wrap the soap in shrink wrap or leave it naked. Just wondering if naked, does the soap absorb the cardboard smell?
Thanks in advance

There are 20 liquid ounces per pound of wax
-
I also use these and found another way for mixing.
When I find a color I like, I premix a small amount into a 1 oz plastic bottle (like the ones FO's come in). Because I just use these for swirl color, I use a pipette and mark down the number of drops used.
I had trouble trying to figure out teaspoons per batch, so found this was much easier for my mathicatically challanged brain...LOL

Thank you all for your suggestions. I am going to tweak my labels for wholesale so as not to have my website on them
-
Yeah, Main St in Williamsville. I could just leave the web site off, that is a good idea. Thanks!!!
Sometimes the simplest thing.....LOL

I made a call on a store for a possible wholesale account and she noticed I had my website on my labels.
Her big concern was my pricing vs. her pricing. She did not want people purchasing from her, going to my website and purchasing from me if my prices were cheaper.
I was just wondering if any one else had run across this problem and how to handle it with future accounts.

I know no one believes me when I tell them that they are simple to pour..all you need are steady hands and pipettes.
You under estimate your talents...I keep trying but cannot get the hang of it!!!
Your soaps are AWESOME!!!

I use dixie cups, can bend them to make a pouring spout.

Was there any correspondence thru e-mail? Maybe AMEX will give a credit if you can prove your were trying to resolve it before cancelling your order.

How cool for you!!!
Your shop looks great. I love the black and white
Continued success and hope you get to quit your job soon!!!

You know I have never seen laundry detergent in one of those. What brand sells those? Great idea.
Glo
Sam's Club has this type of detergent container

Man--you are so talented!!!
I wish I had a quarter of your talent!!!

Maybe you could try a place like Office Max, at their copy center.
I don't know how big your catalog is, but my BF made me a catalog using Print Shop using 2 sheets of paper folded in half. I bought one of those extra large staplers the hold it together. That may be another alternative

Really nice set up, I love the chalk boards!!
If you don't mind me asking, where did you get them?
-
Sounds like it is easier to take it across the boarder yourself and mail it!!!

Thanks, I saw them, this is more of what I was thinking

I was thinking of something like these and putting a label on top with my company name, etc

OK, I have looked and now I am cross-eyed!!!
I am looking for something that is inexpensive to give wholesale accounts to display lip balms on their counters or shelves. Everything I have found is based on production runs or customized printing. That is just a little too much for me right now.
I could have sworn I saw them somewhere but for the life of me I cannot find them now. Thanks for any help

They provide funding
mari
They kinda have to with these prices...LOL
4 Valve Unit Complete
$ 36,500.00
8 Valve Unit Complete
$ 38,500.00

Maybe if you call your supplier directly, they can get you a price. Maybe they aren't that big to offer an order that large on their website, but if you call they might be able to work something out with you.

I just bump the ink cost by $0.02 for each label. I can't really determine the actual cost. I realize that color costs more than black, but personally I don't think that the ink cost is a major part of costing.
Also sometimes when you look for ink on-line, they will indicate the average amount of pages a cartridge will print...maybe that will help you

I put the pyrex cup in the double boiler. If I am using my presto pot, I warm the measuring cup in the oven. Just put the oven on the lower setting, which is about the same temp as the wax. HTH

If you don't want to get another pour pot, just get a glass pyrex measuring cup
